3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Handpulled cask at JDW Hatch End, Harrow. Dark red/brown with an off whte head in the freshest condition. Very much a scottish beer with an abundance of malt and little in the way of hop bitterness yet quite well balanced and dry in the finish. It went down a treat with one of spoons excellent Thursday curry deals.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
The Burnt Post, Coventry. Punching hop perfume, blackcurrant, orange and clove aroma. Powerful flowers. Full-on nuthusk bitterness to finish, with cheesecake base afters. Balancing hops and malt, just like the blurb. Floral but robust. Flowery, but just might kick your head in. Definitely need more than sips next time...

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
2cm white head tops the clear amber body. Strong cereal aroma presents obtrusive sugary bread flavours, rather grainy as well. Almost flat and seriously sweet which makes it not very drinkable. A slice of sandy bitterness attempts to cut through, but remains inefficient. No fruitiness. Quite dull, buttery and hard to drink in large quantities.
