"Named after Thorfin Hausakliuuf, the seventh earl of Orkney, this reddish coloured ale has an intense vinous nose, is rich and satiny in the mouth with a long dry finish and deep rich fruity notes. Described as ’Satiny smooth in the mouth, deceptively light and dangerously drinkable’."

A smooth drinking scotch ale, smooth medium plus mouthfeel. Muted smoke and fruit flavour. Appropriately average carbonation. Sweet malty finish. More drinkable than the style, more muted flavour. Good lacing. Alcohol spice aroma.

Bottle, 33 cl, Au comptoir de la bière, Callian (83). Overall pleasant: malty, coffee aroma but at a sophisticated level. Full mouthfeel but not too boozy. A bit watery. Would gladly try again.

bottle @ Party Source / Bellevue KY --- Aroma of dark malt and toffee. Nearly clear amber brown color, ivory head that slowly drops to a full cover, sheets of lace. Taste is full-bodied malt and toffee that moves through medium carbonation and light dark dried fruit in the swallow to semi-sweet toffee that grows, and light bitters that move things to a medium-length finish. Full, balanced, satisfying. I’ll drink it again.

Red-brown color with solid thick foam head (and some particles). Shy sweet and light alcoholic nose. The taste is creamy thick with a raisin sweetness with some decent licorice and an alcoholic touch. Pleasant sweet finish with a fruity (dates) sweet and sticky aftertaste.

En meget sød øl, der smager af noget karamelt. Næsten ingen humle, og man har næsten en hel fedtet smag i munden efter et par slurke.

Really good: dried fruits, plums full of aroma and caramelized nuts. Alcohol taste is lovely masked and this makes it a must try beer.

Transfer of old scores without written review. Bottle from Seijo Ishii. Smooth and slightly sweet for a big beer, dark fruits abound, some warmth.

330ml bottle. Pours reddish in color with particles in suspension. Aroma is sweet and as good as you’ll find. Dried fruit, cherry cough sweets, brown sugar. Reminds me of Paulaner Salvatore in flavour and that’s no had thing. Quality.

Bottle shared at the Cotteridge Convention - 2016 edition. Cheers! Pours clear gold with a creamy topping. Sugary and bready, with notes of soft caramel and ripening fruits. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, with more toasty and bready malts, caramel and toffee. Good stuff.
