Bottle. Rich ruby color with a decent off-white head and the tiniest amount of lacing. The aroma is a little woody with dark fruits and a hint of spice. The taste is malty with some candy sugar notes. Dark fruits and nice alcohol, even a hint of chocolate ?

The aroma is sweet and malty. The flavor is also sweet and malty, but with a smoke note too it. A great Scottish ale - but beware of the 8.5% ABV.

33 cL bottle. Pours golden amber with a dense off-white head. Malty and light overripe fruity aroma. Sweet malt flavour, light bitterness following. Nice mix of this into the finish yet it goes very dry in the far finish.

Bottled. Hazy brown colour, yellow/beigeish creamy head. Bitterish cranberry aroma with some notes of alcohol. Sweet plum and raisins in flavour along with hints of alcohol. The alcohol fits in well though. Very pleasant.

33cl bottle from VinensVerden, Odense. Pours dark brown with a red hew and a small creamy head and lacings. Nose is delicious. Slightly roasted with lots of caramel and dak fruits. Taste is sharper with a whiff of alcohol, sugar and caramel. Smooth and full bodied. Oily and sticky. Ends dry. Nice!

Dark brown color; big head. Caramel aroma, sweet, oxydized. Medium body structure, some malt and a lot of caramel, some liquorice, light roasted malt; the flavors are well mixed but it’s oxydized and not fresh.
