3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle poured into pint glass. Appearance is hazy brown with a reddish tint and hardly any head. Aroma is dark fruits, lots of malt, some caramel, and a bit of alcohol. Taste is surprisingly fruity, like plums, raisins, and cherries. There is also a bread-like taste to it and a slight alcohol kick. It is very smooth and has a lighter feel than I expected.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from BeerRitz in Leeds. Mahogany colour with a decent cream head. Aramoa is quite fruity and vinuous. Flavours of sherry, caramel and raisin before a bitter finish with the alcohol strongly coming through. The alcohol is a bit too eveident for me, but otherwise a very nice beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from The Beerhive. Bright amber body with a huge beige head. Lively carbonation. Great lacing. Aroma of cereal, brown sugar and fig. Flavour of honey, lightly roasted malt and apple strudel. Medium body with a syrupy mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. A bit too harsh and sweet for me. I struggled to finish a bottle.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a bright, clear brown with a little head. The aroma is subtle. Subtle might even be too strong a word. There just isn’t much going on in the nose, here. The flavor is better. It’s rich and sweet, I picked up on malt and honey, and pear and cinnamon notes, too. Not bad.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Brunröd öl med snabbt försvinnande smutsvitt skum. Doft av karamell, malt och en del alkohol. Samma återkommer i smaken med en viss fruktighet och fikon.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20
Best by Jul 17 (my anniversary, hopefully a good omen)
It’s a good dark brown amber with a etched surface and some loose rim foam. Smells like butter, apple skin, a little bit of malt, some skunk (this died off as the beer warmed); really sad nose. Flavor is malt, rye, tomato, sweet hawaiian bread rolls, some astringency and on the breath after the swallow: booze and butter. Medium bodied and tight moderate alcohol. Profoundly unimpressed with this brew.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle to tulip glass, beer pours a transparent dark red with a quickly fading head. Aroma is weak... but I pick up caramel, butterscotch, cardboard, grapes. Taste is bittersweet, lots of wood, caramel, tons of licorice and cardboard. Palate is thin, co2 on the low side, balance is out of whack. Overall..this was ok but definitely oxidized,

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
A heady but beautiful beer for those who are also partial to scotch whiskey. The flavour builds to a satisfying crescendo with a lingering bitter twang. Not for the faint hearted, but definitely a choice for cold winter nights.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle at home. Aroma of dried fruit, sweet malt, sherry, raisins. Silky smooth palate, acidic finish, alcohol well hidden. No particular flaws, just doesn’t do it for me. Not a fan of this style.
