COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Available filtered in 330ml bottles.
"Named after Thorfin Hausakliuuf, the seventh earl of Orkney, this reddish coloured ale has an intense vinous nose, is rich and satiny in the mouth with a long dry finish and deep rich fruity notes. Described as ’Satiny smooth in the mouth, deceptively light and dangerously drinkable’."

Bottle at Fado in Philly. Hazy dark brown pour. Foamy beige head. Caramel. Peat. Molasses. Proper brown fruit - prunes, dates, figs, raisins. Some vegemite. Maybe not enough. Wish it were fuller and silkier like the best scotch ales/wee heavies. Reads too thin. Still, very nice notes. Almost too drinkable. Not bad at all.

Excellent example of a wee heavy. Aroma of port wine. Hot alcohol upfront front the 8.5% abv but finishes malty sweet. Silky on the tongue. Lots of dark fruit on the mid palate. Good complexity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle - 330ml. Nice copper body with a thin off-white foamy/creamy head. Malty/hoppy aroma with strong brown sugar hints. Taste is also sweet and robust. It carries some herbal and oaky notes. Ends with a warning bittersweet finish.

After about 4 or 5 of these I’m sure your skull would be split. It pours an amber brown with a medium beige head. A sweet aroma. The high alcohol content overwhelms the taste, although I did enjoy it more as I went on.

Very sweet fruity aroma, apples and honey. Strong in taste as well. Smooth on palate. Reminiscent of strong ciders.

Cloudy reddish brown with a cream-colored head. Strong and the alcohol comes through, but smooth and sweet. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at Bitter in Vancouver DTES. Wow! Very intense woody, vinous, fruity flavours. A world class scotch ale here. Must have more!

Bottle poured into pint glass. Appearance is hazy brown with a reddish tint and hardly any head. Aroma is dark fruits, lots of malt, some caramel, and a bit of alcohol. Taste is surprisingly fruity, like plums, raisins, and cherries. There is also a bread-like taste to it and a slight alcohol kick. It is very smooth and has a lighter feel than I expected.
