Bottle from trip to Montreal. Nice ruby-brown colour with a large off-white head. Pleasant aroma of sweet malt and maple, with hints of wood and smoke. Medium bodied. Enjoyable flavour that follows the aroma closely. Could do with a bit more hoppiness to cut some of the sweetness, but otherwise, I thought this was a nice enough ale.

Bouteille courtoisie de Viper666. Pours a clear dark orange-amber with a large somewhat-lasting off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, light maple syrup, wood and some fruit -- not getting any smoke though. Flavour of caramel malt, maple, fruit, a bit of "bottle" or mild sourness and faint smoke. Light bitter finish. Mouthfeel’s quite carbonated, medium bodied. A decent effort, not bad.

Bottle: Poured a deep brown color ale with a nice foamy head with some good retention. Aroma of primary sugar with some weird overcooked vegetable. Taste is also dominated by gross sugar as well as this vegetable notes that didn’t agree with my taste buds. No important malt or hops could be detected. Body was about average with some good carbonation. Another disappointing maple beer that makes me wonders why brewers insist on brewing them.
