Deep amber/orange pour with foamy white head. Very much a nasal hopparama. Laced with a good malty sweetness. Very hoppy and sweetish caramelly malt with good warmth that pushes the edge. Carbonation and mouthfeel are solid. Best beer so far good citrus hops very good carbonation and mouthfeel. Proof that these guys can make very good beer.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a translucent amber with golden notes and a medium creamy/lacing off white head. Aroma of grapefruit, some pine, citrus, caramel and toffee. Flavor of toasted grains, toffee, caramel, grapefruit, other citrus, some pine and moderate hop bitterness.

Draft sample at the brewpub. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy sour citrus aroma. Medium to full body. Medium to heavy bitter flavor with a medium to heavy bitter finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where met with a solid brew and a standout for Orlando.

Beerlando (3342) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JAN 22, 2008
Draft at the brewery. Pours a clear, reddish brown body. A small, foamy, off-white head settles quickly to a thin film, leaving behind scattered, sudsy lacing. The aroma is sweet, showing big caramel malts and buttery toffee, followed by grassy and citrus hops with some grainy notes. The flavor follows suit, with orange and grassy hops coming through a bit stronger than the nose showed. There is a good dose of floral hop character as well, completing the hoppy counterpoint to the big caramel malts. Medium-full bodied and smooth, finishing slightly cloying from all the sweetness. Overall, not a half bad brew. Definitely one of the best offerings from this brewery, though certainly lackluster for a IIPA.

redlight (2316) - Orlando, Florida, USA - DEC 8, 2007
UPDATED: FEB 29, 2008 Grassy, piney, with hints of citrus in the aroma. Pours pale amber with no head. Citrus, piney, very catty, some malty sweetness. It is very hop forward, which i normally like in IIPA’s, but this one is very very catty.

FLnative80 (174) - Orlando, Florida, USA - SEP 15, 2007
Draft. A light copper colored beer with a frothy, long-lasting head. Leaves very nice lacing down the wine glass. Hoppy, floral, grapefruit aroma. Full body with a silky smooth texture. Light malt sweetness is quickly overpowered by the fruity, hoppy bitterness. Alcohol is masked very well. Dangerously good.

markwise (4424) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - SEP 9, 2007
UPDATED: FEB 16, 2013 Needed to rerate this badly as it was one of my first beers rated. Sampled again in Orlando on 8 Feb 2013. Pours a hazy amber with an off-white head. Nose is caramel with earthy, grassy, and citrus hops. Flavor is similar with light caramel and grassy and earthy hops. Medium in body and dry finish.

hopscotch (8783) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 30, 2007
Draft at Orlando Brewing... Clear, light amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. Malty, perfumey aroma. Hearty malt backbone, but none of the associated sweetness makes it past the generous helping of hops. Medium bitterness. Full-bodied with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. Astringent, bitter, and then dry finish.

DrHomolka (761) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 10, 2007
Draft. Pours a deep copper color with a very soapy white head. Lots of thick lace down the glass with this one. Aroma is nicely balanced with a lot of malts, vanilla, and some hops underneath. Very creamy mouthfeel, well balanced with a bitter hop finish. Strong, balanced, this is really nice.
