(Rating #5080)

Bottle from Tom10101. Aroma is all fruit esters and spicy phenolics. Quite a bit of citrus and pear with more clove and coriander. The phenolics are too strong. A slight sulfurous, poopy note but not too bad. Pours a cloudy orange color with a big, pillowy white head with fairly good retention. Fairly high lacing with faint legs. Flavor has some cracker malt character up front along with some fruit esters. Its rather bitter though with a fairly pronounced hop character mid to late palate. Some citrus, pear and stone fruit much of which seems to come from the hops. Some fairly strong pine resin as well. Moderately strong bitterness with some light phenolic notes. The aroma doesn’t really give you much of an idea that the beer would be so hop forward in the flavor. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Low hop astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall an alright beer but its way too hop forward to be what I thought was a Saison. I guess this more of a Belgian IPA in which case there are not enough hops in the aroma, though as it warns what I thought was cloves might be spicy noble hops.

Major thanks to Tommy for this! Poured into my RBAG tulip glass, Beautiful apricot amber pour, loads of white creamy head. Nice citrus/tropical fruit notes, some hops, interesting aroma. Well consider me surprised, mild tropical fruit notes commingle perfectly with the hops that makes for a slightly grapefruit/tropical fruit/awesomeness bitter aftertaste, crazy good drinkability, wow love this...just a really really nice beer. I would drink this locally all the time if I could get it.

Bottle: Poured a murky light amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of sweet wheat malt notes with nice floral hops aroma mixing well with the wheat malt. Taste is a very refreshing mix between some bubblegum wheat malty notes with some floral and dry hoppy notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very enjoyable mix between the wheat malt notes with the dry and floral aroma with light fruity ester. I would probably move this one to more regular production if I was the brewer.

500 mL bottle from Broue Ha Ha served cold in a tulip glass. Very cloudy orange-amber with a fluffy dirty light tan head. Sorta dank, wild, bitter green herbs, a touch of barf, biscuit malts, oddly floral/perfumed, not entirely cohesive. Medium body, elegant, restrained effervescence. Sorta soapy, earthy, dirty, resins, dusty, a little wild, some bitter herb notes, a bit of biscuit, kinda messy, can’t figure it out; dry with good bitterness and a strange finish, like the nose and flavors. Not very successful, imo.

Bottle. Murky, somewhat dirty looking golden body topped by a towering white head that laces messily. Complex aroma that has elements of skunky crushed nettles, capsicum, guava, kumquat... Crazy! Oily hoppy body that reflectste complexity found in the nose with a greater spicy presence and a creamy malty body. Finish is bitingly bitter and peppery. I frigging loved this.
