3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a reddy coat with an ample loose head that settles to a frothy white ring. Smells of citrus and just a souçon of cat pee and some hay. Taste is spicy hop - peppery actually, reminding me slightly of chile pepper or even a faint hint of habañero... really odd, but there is also the citrus to the hop, which nicely complements the caramel-but-not-unctuous malt base. Some mouth-smacking mineral and hints of pine forest. OK the peppery thing subsides, it is pretty good. Bottle thanks to Au Coin Duluth.

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20
Hazy amber color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of heavy oxidation, citrus, grass, cardboard, toffee, and light pine. Taste of citrus, grass, stale malts, light caramel. Probably a bit old.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Purchased at JA Moisan in Quebec City. Cost me $5.59 for 500mL, worth it to try the beer but wouldn’t buy it again at that price.
AROMA: caramel, spruce
APPEARANCE: hazy dark red with frothy white head
TASTE: relatively sweet for an IPA, lightly bitter finish
PALATE: medium body, creamy, average carbonation
OVERALL : Good

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle courtesy of JoeMcPhee: Thanks Joe! Pours a hazy amber with a strong tan head. Odd sour dough and mildly solventy aroma. Some caramel and mild diacetyl. Slick body. Some nice toasted caramel and crystal malt flavors. The hops are dank and mildly hempy. Could be cleaner. Nothing great.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Doesn’t taste particularly refined, but for a beer that’s twice as hoppy and twice as alcoholic as the norm that’s acceptable. Strong and powerful, very floral and hoppy. Complex, though not particularly smooth about it. I enjoyed this one, and it’s a shame it’s so hard to get - I’d like to have it again to further figure it out.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Aroma is pine, grass, and light malt. Not bitter at all in my opinion, just a rather bland sweetness with a drying effect on the tongue and roof of the mouth.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours copper, somewhat murky. Aroma is somewhat citrus hops and somewhat floral hops, with hints of wood and caramel. Taste is somewhat fruity, caramelish, malty, and obviously hoppy. STicky mouthfeel. Mild-bodied beer, with is somewhat unexpected from a DIPA. Overall, pretty good, but a bit too watery for a DIPA, and feels a bit like somebody wanted to make a DIPA but changed their mind in-between.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Very malt heavy for an iipa, pretty interesting. Tan head on a light amber body, head sticking around for a bit. Alcohol well hidden in both the aroma and taste.
The taste is very caramel heavy. There is a bitterness prevalent, but the caramel seems out of place. However, provides a great balancing effect, creating a very well rounded beer.
Good beer, always excited to try beers from this brewery.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Fluffy white head on light grapefruit body. Very mild hop aroma. Creamy mouthfeel, from malt and I think yeast. Pleasant bitterness. More like a 1.5 IPA. Good drinkability, better with food. Alcohol hidden by taste.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Hazy deep amber pour with a thin white head. The nose a bit of odd sweet maltiness. A bit of apple and pear. Fairly hoppy on the back of the palate but the beer is quite sweet and doesn’t really do anything for me. A little bit of lemony/citrusy character. A bit of caramel and a touch of odd honeyed sweetness along with a touch of herbal character.
