Bottle. Aroma is pine, grass, and light malt. Not bitter at all in my opinion, just a rather bland sweetness with a drying effect on the tongue and roof of the mouth.

Pours copper, somewhat murky. Aroma is somewhat citrus hops and somewhat floral hops, with hints of wood and caramel. Taste is somewhat fruity, caramelish, malty, and obviously hoppy. STicky mouthfeel. Mild-bodied beer, with is somewhat unexpected from a DIPA. Overall, pretty good, but a bit too watery for a DIPA, and feels a bit like somebody wanted to make a DIPA but changed their mind in-between.

Very malt heavy for an iipa, pretty interesting. Tan head on a light amber body, head sticking around for a bit. Alcohol well hidden in both the aroma and taste. The taste is very caramel heavy. There is a bitterness prevalent, but the caramel seems out of place. However, provides a great balancing effect, creating a very well rounded beer. Also bready. Good beer, always excited to try beers from this brewery.

Fluffy white head on light grapefruit body. Very mild hop aroma. Creamy mouthfeel, from malt and I think yeast. Pleasant bitterness. More like a 1.5 IPA. Good drinkability, better with food. Alcohol hidden by taste.

Hazy deep amber pour with a thin white head. The nose a bit of odd sweet maltiness. A bit of apple and pear. Fairly hoppy on the back of the palate but the beer is quite sweet and doesn’t really do anything for me. A little bit of lemony/citrusy character. A bit of caramel and a touch of odd honeyed sweetness along with a touch of herbal character.

500 ml bottle from Marche Omni, served cool in a tulip glass.

App.: Hazy deep copper with a decent orange-tan head. Aroma: Strange. Mashy, sweet, fruity, very malty, some resinous/leafy hops, a touch peppery, caramel/toffee notes, brown sugar and burnt sugar, vaguely spicy, kinda messy. Palate: Medium body, moderate effervescence, kinda syrupy but also a bit astringent. Flav.: Strangely mashy/savoury with marmalade, pine, caramel, sickly sweet brown sugar, caramel/toffee, booze, fruitiness, more mash, all over the place; quite sweet with decent bitterness and a similarly messy malt finish, leaves a film in your mouth.

Not assembled well. Drain pour to avoid a nasty hangover.

Purchased at Marché Omni. Pours a dark amber colour with a big off-white creamy head that stays a long time and forms great thick lacing. There is a nice blend in the aromas going on, with the spicy hop, the caramel malt and some nice burnt smell. A beautiful warmth comes out in the mouthfeel, but no burns. Just smooth and oily. Again the taste is well-blended, with the toffee-caramel, the mild bitterness and the citrus-pine. Not for hopheads, but a very well-brewed warming strong IPA.

500mL bottle from Marche Omni. Pours a really nice dark amber, slight haze and a perfect sized tan head with great retention. Very nice looking beer. Aroma is quite malty, slightly fruity, red apples, but not a whole lot of hops except for some British character. Flavour is quite nice, full and rich toffee caramalt body with a semi bitter finish. Not much hop activity to speak of except for some pineapple character. Slight booze character but nothing over-the-top, still fairly drinkable. Drink suspiciously like a Fuller’s Vintage Ale clone, and it’s actually a pretty good beer, just not anything like a DIPA. I’ll be fair though and rate it for what it is, not what it may claim to be.

500 ml bottle shared with jsprime. his bottle. pours chunky orangish brown with a lasting off white head. lotsa yeast and hop floaties. very muddled and seemling long in the tooth. not really an IIPA, has more incomin with a yeasty belgian ale. it drank like a belgian barley wine that started as a good recipe but had mutiple brewing flaws. meh.
