Sweet molasses in the aroma, but still some zest. Deep orange: looks nice. Sweet and tart, but bitter. Not as bitter as I’d expect from a double IPA. Finish is bitter at first but lingers a long time with strange sweetness. Has a strange mousse-y sensation on the palate (once the sharper notes are done). (The label has been changed since the current image - no longer says "Bière Saisonnière")

on tap at la souche, qc. slightly hazy pale golden with a nice white head, good retention and lacing. citrus, light pine, floral. fruitcake all over, candied fruits and doughy malts, belgian fruity malts (no further belgiumness whatsoever). light booze tingling, medium body - good malt structure, medium long citrusy finish. aromatic dry-hopping, attenuation is ok - could be improved. dunno if this recipe changed but it definitely seems improved than older version..

500ml bottle, A reddish copper ale with a thick moka head. A pleasant herbal malt aroma with wafting alcohol, vinous notes, quite pleasant. In mouth, a rather malty interpretation of the DIPA, herbal and nutty, light sweet notes, sustained bitterness. Interesting.

500mL bottle, pours a murky brownish orange with a small white head. Aroma is quite musty, with some tropical fruits and citrusy hops. Flavour of floral and citrusy hops, some tropical fruits, and a big caramel / bready malt backbone… a bit of Belgian yeast as well. Decently well-made with a thick creamy body, especially for a IIPA. Flawed, but decent.

Bottle 500 ml. Bought at Peluso (Montreal). Pours hazy amber with medium creamy white head. Some particles. Some lacing. Aroma: Interesting notes of citrus, plus spices, malt and hops. Taste is very malty, with strong hints of caramel. Slight citrus. Balance is ok. Spicy finish. A good beer, but there are a lot of better I2IPA.

Aromas: Slightly malted accents like crystallized fruits, field berries, with subtle notes of biscuit and wood cask. Very discreet nose. Appearance: Average beige head, a mix of tiny and mid size bubbles, not lasting much and with no lacing. Color is medium amber and hazy. Attack is all bitterness and a bit salty. Accents are malty and hoppy. Bitterness is dry and cutting. Duration of bitterness is long. Malty flavors like biscuit, caramel, candy cane and cask are sticking out more than the hoppy flavors. Beside the dry and cutting finish, the hops flavors are not sticking out much.
