The bottle has an abstract dot on it. Mellow aroma that is floral with a little earthy yeast. This is a mildly sweet ale that is not forceful, but is mild and well balanced with some light, perky hops. A tasty organic brew. nuplastikk (1261), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Crisp smooth hoppy flavor throughout, with a nice mellow malt profile as well. Certainly similar to other Magic Hat beers. This is a great session beer. Relatively straightforward stuff. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 2, 2008 Pours a clear darker brown amber with no head. Nose is a bit like wet wood with some caramel mixed in there and a sugary tone to it. Flavor is a bit like a wet cardboard, but not so much in a totally negative thing. It just has a flavor of a type of wood with a sweet tone. Kind of a thinner caramel flavor. The wood is a bit too stringent and too much. Throws it off balance and nothing helps it get back up. Feel is okay. Drinkability is...okay. I am not really too impressed here. Decent, but not worth going to at all really. Unless you’re an organic freak. nearbeer (1887), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Hazy burnt orange-amber with a medium large head that hangs around with some big lace. Nose is sourish grain and grass. Flavor is twangy-sour cereal, apples, cream, hay and bitterish dry grass. Occasionally some sharp, fruity white wine like flavors. Peachy-apricot aftertaste; almost smells and tastes like it has some fruit flavoring. Palate is light, mostly round, and dry. blankboy (3263), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 20, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy orange-copper with a big, mostly-lasting, fluffy off-white head. Decent aroma, slightly sweet, of caramel malt, more hops then expected, some fruit and light toastiness. Light, hoppy, fruity flavour, a touch watery, backed by lightly toasted caramel malt and a light bitter finish. Easy to drink. The aftertaste got just a tad iffy after a while though. Medium bodied. Though not amazing or anything this is still much better then I expected and I would easily drink it again. jcwattsrugger (5583), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 25, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours a clear copper under a one finger fizzy beige head. Lots of vigorous carbonation. Aroma is toasted and lightly nutty malt with a slightly sweet caramel note. A hint of vanilla and floral hoppiness. Toasted malt with a slightly husky rough edge gives way to a toffee laced lightly bitter finish. Mouthfeel is light bodied with a slightly husky and grainy texture. A little too much fizzy carbonation. Overall, I’d call this a pretty basic Amber Ale, not sure why Blond Ale was chosen for this beer. tronraner (1939), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 31, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Pours orangeish amber with thin off-white head. The aroma is caramel, light citrus, and some botanical notes. The flavor is caramel and mild, piney hops at first. Then come some leathery notes and a bit of maple syrup. The finish has a sort of old shoe quality to it, but for some reason it doesn’t come across as offensive. I actually thought this was pretty good.
