canary dog (371), Rutland, Vermont, USA Sep 9, 2007 Clean and crisp. Nice maltiness, but not cloying. Flavorful and well made, with no oxidized aftertaste. With the possible exception of Sammy Smith Organic Ale, which is sometimes too diacetylic, this is the best organic beer I have tasted.
swoopjones (1048), Buffalo, New York, USA Jul 1, 2008 On tap @ Coles Buffalo NY. Not sure why this is a blonde or golden ale since it s dark copper colored. Pours a copper color with decent 3/4 inch head. Light toasted malt aroma. Taste is toasty with orangy & light berrish flavor. Decent mouthfeel some light bitterness. Non obtrusive & easy drinking but doesnt really wow you in any aspect PilsnerPeter (1324), Flushing, New York, USA Jun 5, 2008 Bottle: Deep copper/orange pour with a bubbly tan head. Has a leafy hop aroma with a lot of orangey fruit character and a toasted caramel back. Light body, a bit fluffy. The flavor has a toasted and grainy malt character, along with mild orangey hop notes, but all this is a bit spoiled by a saccharine type of flavor that lots of organic beers tend to have. Still drinkable. glaze0101 (78), USA May 30, 2008 Got to try this great little organic at River Valley Food Co-op. Wonderful beer. Really enjoyed it. Drinkable and hoppy. Sammy (2969), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 16, 2008 On tap at Vermont brewpub. Floral hoppy. Light orange with big soapy head. Creamy, above average mouthfeel. Good bitterness without the high IBU.Drinkable. Speedle (260), Mid-Atlantic (Tour 2007-2008), Virginia, USA May 14, 2008 thin head ... malt, hay and corn aroma ... thin taste ... light spice and earth in the background ... some light hops in the finish ... easy drinking but very regular
