RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA Feb 2, 2008 Pours a clouded amber gold. No head sticks around too long here. Nose is a vibrant orange with . Flavor is a woody and tart hop character. Slight touch of a salty edge. Meaty and thick. Feel is thick on the liquid with a pretty full level of bubble. Very drinkable. Definitely a session brew. Plus, for the people who care...it’s organic. glaze0101 (79), USA May 30, 2008 A very drinkable IPA. I am used to so. cal. overpowering IPA’s this is not like that. Floral hops with a slight citrus flavour. Tried this at a tasting at River Valley Co-op AleDrinker (1090), Sunnyvale, California, USA Jul 16, 2008 Guest tap at American Flatbread. Big hoppy aroma and flavor: bold and citrusy. Lightly sweet. Body is light and refreshing. Well done. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 11, 2007 Bottle from Capone’s. The pour is clear dark straw colored with a 2-finger head. I was surprised that the color in this was less copper than the common ale. The aroma is hopcitric, with some tangerine and mango hints, plus mild lemongrass and black pepper. The taste was hoppy, citric, with some pale malt, mango, honey, black pepper, and mild tangerine. Came off a bit like a hopped up pils. Cletus (5001), Connecticut, USA Nov 1, 2009 Pours copper with a white head. Smells citrussy and sweet. Tastes citrussy and peppery with a lightly bitter finish. Angeloregon (2024), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 17, 2008 Bottle from beer store in Portsmouth, NH--Poured a hazy amber-copper body with a sticky caramel fruity hops nose indicative of many East Coast brewers. Gritty and a little cardboard-like perhaps from being past its due date. Nice hops profile and play with malts, but overall, it was missing due to being outdated. Grapefruity, citrus bitter finish. Nice beer otherwise. I would like to try again. tarheels86 (703), Washington DC, USA Mar 28, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a modest off-white head. Aroma of strawberries, candied fruits, citrus hops, and caramel malt. Nice, fresh grapefruit hops in the body with good crisp caramel malt for balancing. Bitter, clean grapefruit aftertaste. A very good IPA. Can’t really find this stuff anymore...too bad. jimhilt (1663), Bow, New Hampshire, USA May 7, 2007 Pours a five-finger off-white head that fades slowly leaving a good lace. Clear amber color. Piney/hoppy nose. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Flavor is surprisingly sweet with hops at finish and slight bitter aftertaste. Decent IPA and IPAs are not my favorites. $1.60 for a 12oz bottle from Tully’s Beer & Wine Wells, Me.
Label has ABV at 5.6%.
