RHeastings (377), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 1, 2009 Enjoyed from the iconic bottle in an elongated tulip glass. The beer pours a medium amber color, a touch lighter than I would have expected. Notes of malt, esters, and a touch of European noble hops come through in the nose. The palate brings some bitterness up front (just a bit), malt, and some really nice notes from the secondary brett yeast. Overall, a classic. jimmack34 (560), Lancaster, Ohio, USA Jul 30, 2009 Bottle. Poursa hazy copper color with a very dense persistant head. Smells of floral perfume and candy fruit. Tastes fruity sweet, like apples, peach, banana, and pears in champaigne, very bubblegummy. Very sweet and dry finish. petematte46 (212), Dallas, Texas, USA Jul 30, 2009 2005 bottle - Amber brown with a nice lacing head. Not sure I can describe this beer. Bitter, sour, dry, hoppy, spicy. You can go on and on. Try this beer. Bejaaamin (110), London, Ontario, Canada Jul 29, 2009 Opaque, deep golden brown. Huge fluffy white head that keeps growing and growing. Nose; apricot, sweet spices, honey, very dreamstate like. Flavs; sweet and bitter play harmoniously play acrost the tongue. Very finely crafted. iamqueensblvd (178), , Iowa, USA Jul 26, 2009 Delicious looking cloudy brown pour, lots of frothy lacy white head. Lots of carbonation and a little bit of an alcohol taste...nothing too overpowering. Lots of fruity notes on the nose and palate. Little sour on the finish which i really liked. Dragonblaze99 (349), Greater London, England Jul 25, 2009 Very large head with huge bubbles. Almost chemical aroma. Rather overcarbonated. Unbalanced flavour, not enough malt to the hops. Palate is very sour, and in this case lingers far too long. I usually like trappist beers, but this one was a disappointment. thorongil2 (54), , Ontario, Canada Jul 24, 2009 (bottle) dark amber colour; large off white head; aroma of spice; dry and bitter flavour, me least favourite trappist
