COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In contrast to all the others, the Orval Trappist brewery makes only one beer for the general public. It has an intensely aromatic and dry character. Between the first and second fermentations there is also an additional dry-hopping process. Through this the beer acquires its pronounced hoppy aroma and extra dry taste.
Bottled at 5.2% abv - can go up as high as 7.2%

Good light belgian/trappist ale with lemon essence in the finish. Of the seven trappist ales this may have the lightest flavor

Bottle pours rich in foam. Brown hazy color. The classic standard for a trappist beer.

Enormous white head that stuck around. This beer is as hoppy as an IPA but much more complex. It has a subtly vinous and lemony aroma. The flavour is slightly tart with hints of cider, citrus rind and grass and a hoppy bite. It’s really different from the other trappists I’ve tried.

bottled pours the color of dark urine, with a huge off white head. aromas are suble with a little bread, yeast and herb. has a bit of salt to the taste. lightly sour with a crisp fruitiness. medium bodied fizzy. finishes with the crisp acidity on the palate. i enjoyed this the more i drank it. it really grows on you.

Pours a reddish brown color with a huge white pillow head that lasts forever. The aroma is amazing and complex. Fruits, bread, and all sorts of yeast funk on the nose. The taste is very nicely balanced. It’s got a decent amount of hops and its slightly bitter but the hops are mostly there for flavor and aroma. The taste has raisins and bread and that familiar belgian yeast flavor. Mouthfeel is extremely dry with light carbonation. Very good.

Pours amber with a medium head. Aroma starts with Belgian yeast, but also citrus and maybe a little cinnamon. Taste starts out sweet, but with some hop bitterness and a little sour taste in the finish. Another Trappist classic.

Bottle. 6,2%. Beautiful white high foam. Amber haze.  Good basement crisp fresh finish.  Fruity slight sour taste banana melon. Oaktree brettt notes. Genuine classic brew.
