GorillaD (4), Kirksville, Missouri, USA does not count Jun 15, 2008 I had this beer in Old Chicago in Sioux Falls SD cost $8.50 a bottle what a horrible beer. Tasted like I accidently sprayed cologne in my mouth. They should have paid me to drink it even then I wouldn’t have. 0.5 is too good of a rating for this beer stay away from this one. Geuzelambix (110), København, Denmark Jun 15, 2008 A very yeasty aroma with touches of wild yeast turns into a trappist beer, which is not like any of the other. A tad alcoholic, a bit acidic and rather hoppy in the end. Slightly related to an IPA in the bitternes, but not as close as I though when I fist had it. jameswolfe (141), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Jun 14, 2008 I liked this, but I feel its a bit overrated. The beer looks fantastic, but the flavor isnt as deep or powerful as I expected. Maybe I had a bad bottle. Bill86 (43), Tennessee, USA Jun 14, 2008 A decent beer, but for the price of $5 a bottle I would rather drink rochefort trappistes 10 at $2 a bottle more. This needs more alcohol content and more flavor. Rochefort trappistes 10 is legions better. ha1ag (415), Maastricht, Netherlands Jun 14, 2008 Bottled from Liege. Murky Dark orang color, thck head, proper lacing. Nose is yeast. Nice yeasty flavour, Finish is soury bitter. Very nice 12many (231), Ohio, USA Jun 14, 2008 A lighter Belgian ale with a sweet flavor and wild yeast. This reminded me of a few saisons I’ve tried. Some good carbonation with a smooth, bubbly aftertaste. Bigmmartin (366), Dayton, Ohio, USA Jun 14, 2008 Updated: Jun 10, 2009Bottle: It’s not my favorite of the trappist beers, but a well balanced and decent tasting belgian ale. However, it seems bland on the aroma and flavor. Definitely nothing offensive, but I don’t pick up on much that makes me want to return. I’ll probably try it again one day. Maybe I’m missing something, kerplun1 (11), New York, USA Jun 13, 2008 Hm. This is an ok beer, but it doesn’t seem to stand up to other trappist ales I have had as far as aroma, appearance, flavor, or palate. It got much better as it warmed to room temperature.
