Jabswitch (206), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA May 1, 2008 Cloudy amber appearance, filmy dense head. Citrus aroma is prevalent but not overpowering. Great flavor with balanced tart and sweet taste. Peppy carbonation which lasted throughout the "session". This is not overly high ABV at about 6% which is perfect in this brew. I like the IPAs but this was a great diversion. Pwn3d (1040), Manhattan, New York, USA May 1, 2008 Bottle, as image shows. Thick white head with massive bubbles hanging on the sides of the glass. Mild but good spice taste. Dry, some suggestions of alcohol. Goes down bubbly and smooth. rane (494), Nibe, Denmark Apr 29, 2008 Bottle. Amber colour with huge pale brown head. Aroma wheat, brett, hopps. Taste A little sour and malt. Dry and a little bitter taste. Not so impressed. bassbuckeye (81), Ohio, USA Apr 28, 2008 Large billowy white head that lasted. Very dry finish and a mild subtle beer. Pretty good and refreshing some fruity notes very delicate. cmillward (419), Orlando, Florida, USA Apr 28, 2008 Bottled 11/04/06, consumed 04/24/08. Pours with a gorgeous fluffy white head topping a hazy dark amber body. Man, this is so good. Incredible brett nose with some spicy hops. Not sour at all, just wonderful rich mouthfeel and a bretty dryness. I got a warming sensation as I sipped this. I’m very excited to try this at different points in its life, but this was some age on it. Gusgus (176), Mölndal, Sweden Apr 28, 2008 Bottled 22/08/2007. Hoppy, fruity, phenolic aroma. Very big but loose head. Orange/amber color. Hazy. Apricots and vanilla. Some sulphury notes reminiscent of cat pee. Flowery hops. As it warms, oranges and coriander. Flavor is creamy effervescent medium big with creamy malt in the finish. Finally some dry bitterness and a hint of sourness. Not as ’wild’ as I remembered it to be. markas101 (541), Fargo, North Dakota, USA Apr 27, 2008 Bottle, Fargo, ND. Hazy orange amber colour, tall head that reduces to soapy looking bubbles. Citrus hop aroma, tight carbonation with a warming spicey hop flavor. Long finish, slightly lighter body than expected, however a very nice beer. Lothore (276), California, USA Apr 27, 2008 A- Pours an Orangey Caramel Color with a massive head. Head has great body and excellent retention. Overall a beautiful brew.
S- The smell is faint however there are distinctive sweet flowery notes and a muted doughy smell. I detected a slight metallic tinge.
T- Starts off sweet and doughy and progresses to a slightly bitter taste. This finishes very smooth with no lingering flavors left on the palate. Exceptional blend of juniper and sweet doughy flavors.
M- Very smooth, a robust carbonation as well as a full body.
D- Highly drinkable. This beer finishes so smooth that it leaves me wanting more and more. Exceptional mix of flavors that is not overpowering. I could certainly enjoy a few of these in an evening if it was not for the lofty price tag.
