4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I really like this beer. I buy it in Brussels at the Carrefour by the 4 pack. It was introduced to me by a friend and I liked it right off the bat. Good color, good taste very intriguing, cant put my finger on it, I just got back from a beer fest in Brussels and already drank them all, but if I remeber correctly from earlier, the aroma, was raisins, and bread to me. The whole experiece is great overall, I’m surprised to see it rated 99, although I love all the trappist beers from Belgium and since I’m 2 hours away, I am truly lucky to be so close and it seems like I’m spoiled with all the AMAZING beer around me. I cherish every moment of it because i return to the states in February and this beer will be much harder to find. Lastly, great beer, I like it alot, but I only get it about 3 times a year. If you can get your hands on it, I think you will enjoy it.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cerveza trapense de color anaranjado. Espuma ligeramente cremosa. Gasificación media-alta. En boca el sabor es cítrico, con toque anaranjado. Se aprecian matices de sabor espaciado. El final es bastante seco.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cloudy orange beer with massive fluffy head on top and lots of lacing. Aroma offers citrus and other fruits as well as zesty sour apples. Taste is sour and dry with peppery spiciness from the yeast and sour flavors, not fresh to me at all. High carbonation and medium body makes this easy to drink but still an disappointment.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
trappiste très différente des autres, très sèche, citronnée, florale, amère, un côté biscuit. Un classique, qui vieillit bien en plus.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours hazy amber with a thick, fluffy head that retains structure and leaves tons of lacing. Aroma of cider, caramel, lemon, funk, slightly earthy, slight lactic acid. Taste is bone dry up front, almost immediate herbal hop flavour with a crisp finish. Long, spicy-herbal hop aftertaste.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
330ml bottle bottled on 22/8/2013.
Pours a murky caramel with a two finger, slightly off-white head that is very bubbly but has huge retention. Moderate amount of carbonation rising from the bottom of the Trappist glass.
Aroma is noticeable. Notes of candy sugar, yeast, some tropical/floral hops, and a touch of spice.
Taste starts out intensely hoppy with a touch of candy sugar then mellows into some bready/caramelness and citrus notes at the end.
Medium body with a medium-high effervescent carbonation. A but slick in the mouth but still refreshing.
Overall nice. A lot hoppier than the other Trappist beers I’ve had but still nice. Would try again but it isn’t what I think of when I think Trappist. Interested in letting some bottles age for a few years to taste the difference.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle @ home. Pours with an orange, clear colour; large, frothy, mostly lasting, white head. One of the best heads I have ever seen. Aroma is moderate malty, with notes of bread, moderate hoppy, with some notes of citrus, and moderate yeasty, notes of leather and light notes of barnyard. Taste is medium sweet, medium bitter, light sour, light salty. Medium to full body, creamy texture, average carbonation.
