In contrast to all the others, the Orval Trappist brewery makes only one beer for the general public. It has an intensely aromatic and dry character. Between the first and second fermentations there is also an additional dry-hopping process. Through this the beer acquires its pronounced hoppy aroma and extra dry taste.

Hazy amber color with nice white head. Floral, earthy aroma with some funk and hints of banana. Tastes more bitter than other trappists I've had with some lemon and grass notes. The wild yeast provides that barnyard flavor. Very nice mouthfeel with medium high carbonation. This is in a class by itself in flavor and style. Very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A huge white frothy head mostly diminishing, good lacing. Hazy medium amber body. Medium malty aroma with nutty tone. Grassy, herbal, citric hops, heavy cheese and earthy yeast aromas. Notes of pear, wood and banana. Medium sweet initial feel, hoppy and dry finish. Long and rather acidic finish. Medium, oily texture with lively carbonation. Very complex and rather excellent.

Bottle. Big off-white head exceptionally long lasting (rocky). Hazy amber (1cm beer left in the bottle). Citric and slightly sour aroma, also spicy. Taste is acid, citrus, slightly spicy with sour (brettomices) hints. Sour finish and aftertaste. A sour ale.

From the bottle at The Pub in Las Vegas. Pours a rich amber color with large foamy head and non stop bubbling. The smell is ripe apricots, metallic and dried fruit. The taste is like surprisingly smooth, easy, yet complex. Unique. Bread, honey, sour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours golden, maybe a touch darker with an solid head that produces a fair amount of lacing. There are aromas of citrus, a bit of floral, and a bit of yeast. It is very dry on the palate first and foremost. There are floral tastes with a bit of citrus, and yeast. It has considerable carbonation. It is even a slight bit s

Bottiglia.

UPDATED: MAY 13, 2015 Bottiglia. Ottima birra che sprigiona tutte le caratteristiche se lasciata riposare per qualche minuto a temperatura ambiente.

Top quality beer, but very different from other trappist. This has a vaguely cidery, slightly sour taste with pleasant bitterness. Great aroma, good palate, great finish. Mine had enough yeast in the bottle to begin a brewery. Beautiful bottle with a minimalistic label, very nice.
