Tripel since 2011 after a home brewery’s recipe and referring to the cycling rage which is still very much alive in these parts of the world. Thick, sticky, cream white head, warm orange blond colour, hazy. Sweet and spicy aroma of lavender, mint, coriander, orange peel, melon, sourish wheat, bread. Soft if not velvety palate (oats alert!à, lightly sourish with lively spiciness and mellow maltiness, pretty strong, long and dry hop bitterness in the finish. Fine tripel indeed.

Bottle sampled at Hopduvel. Pours hazy dark golden with a white head. Aroma of herbs, citrus, rosemary, fruity and earthy hops. Flavor is light to moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. An interesting take on a triple which is heading towards an IPA.

Sample from bottle. Clear gold pour with thick white head. Aroma is really herbal and hoppy, lots of fresh hop, coriander, very herbal, light bready malt, maybe a tad heavy on the herbs but very fresh and inviting nonetheless. Taste is hoppy, nice bitterness, fresh, not too sweet or boozy, nice and dry, a bit saison like in character actually. Palate is light-med bodied with nice fluffy carbonation.

Tasting at Hopduvel, Poured clear medium amber with an off white head. Aroma of floral and citrus hops. Medium body, flavour is heading towards a pale ale, not a lot of the standard Belgian yeast overpowering this. Very nice and moreish.

nice beer, as told to me somewhat of a tribute to Orval, but it’s a different color and style if you ask me. nice beer, hoppy, medium body.

75cl bottle. Shared with Mathieu87. APPEARANCE: clear blond beer, small unstable white head. NOSE: grains, fruity. TASTE: fruity, some grains, OKé in general. But boring again.

75 cl. bottle split by 2 @ Den Turk in Gent. BBF 23/01/2015. Lightly hazy golden with a white head. Nose is slightly hoppy, zesty with some lemon & sugary sweet. Taste is sweet lemon, yeasty, coriander, light lemon lemonade, sweet & touch bitter in the back herbs, very sugary, light soap. Touch higher carb. It is not bad but it is almost criminally boring & overprized.
