3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Hazy gold blonde. Not much yeast in the aroma, but it really comes out in the mouth. Boozy, wheaty, creamy flavours. Reminiscent of a sweet sake, with hints of peaches and cream. Really quite impressive.

Draught at Rocking Hearts in Uji. Alcohol taste at the back and not too sweet for a nice balance. Crisp and refreshing, and a nice change pace.

Kotobuki Brewing - Original ale brewery
Kuninocho Beer 5%
Gold "Original Light Ale".
Sort of happy out of the bottle, build up very happy out of the glass when poured. Clear pale golden color, huge fluffy off-white head, settles to a nice top. Intense fruity, citrus, mandarin, yuzu fruit, lychee, fresh scent. Fruity, citrus, zest, pith, a bit cloyingly sweet, dish washing liquid taste. Sweet, citrus aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, surprisingly low CO2, low to very low bitterness.
Smells super nice, taste much less nice.

I had no idea there was a brewery in Takatsuki so finding this on tap at Bungalow was quite a surprise, In a good way. It is a nice malty beer with a good amount of sweetness & a great golden color. Well done.

Tap at Q-brick. Pale blonde/orange colour with small white head. Aroma is hoppy citrus, rice, sake. Slight funk. Booze. Taste is nice, blond ale with some herbal elements. Orange citrus. Booze in background. Quite liked it. (Had drunk a few by this stage so my notes are a bit confused).

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: AUG 29, 2012 Draught at Q-Brick. They have really sorted this one out. Crisp and tasty with nice hops and a hint of the sake coming through. Good stuff.
Draught at the Great Japan Beer Festival, Osaka, 2011. 2.7
Cloudy golden color, looks ok. Lemony, honey aroma, a little tangy. Sweet flavor, grass, lemon. Interesting, but a bit of a sake flavor, but too sweet and not as good as their brown.
