What did oSKAr the G’Rauch say to the face? Slap! Aromas of freshly-peeled orange and apricots with a touch of……..smoke? Juicy citrus and fruit flavors dominate but don’t overpower the slightly sweet malt structure. Finish is all citrus rind ping-ponging with some smoky phenols

Draft. Poured a golden orange color with a small white head. Aroma was some light hops, with a touch of light smoke - not a whole lot on the nose, nice malt character though. Flavor is a bit more noticable, the smoke comes out a bit like a light smoky meat, with some sweet malts and a touch of earthy hops in here.

Sample at Daily Growler. Clear copper color with a medium white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of smoked malt, hops and pine. Medium to full body with flavors of smoky malt, tropical fruits and resiny hops. The finish is citrusy with an earthy malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Pale enough golden brown. Smells like diluted fuel, maltish. Steely, oddly fruity booze - stewed and not enjoyably bitter. Not enjoyable by much at all by the finish, tips too much booze and an oily mouthfeel into things.

Bottled at Taylors & Jones with the Twist, Stockholm. Cloudy amber, small head. Weird combination of of smoke and citrusy hop up front. Turbs out lie cardboard. Mid sweet with full body and clean, somewhat syrupy mouthfeel. Light smoke, some old grapefruit peels. Quite bitter finish. Dull.

Poured a clear amber with a white top and lacing. Taste of grass, spruce, citrus, with slight smoke. Medium carbonation, medium body. Too hoppy for a smoked in my opinion.

Can. Clear copper small head. Some pineapple flavor. Nice sweet pineapple nose with light smoke. Smoke is more prominent in flavor. Candy like El dorado

Nose is pretty solid. Charcoal grilled pineapple slices and some sweet malts. Flavor is some sweet caramel malts and more sweet pineapple with intense smoke. Not bad. Strange.

Interesting mix of smoke and citrus flavors from the hops. Top it off with a great name and it's something I'd order again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

16oz tallboy from the NC brewery purchased during RBWG bus tour and drank today, my bad didn’t realize it was an IPA till recently. Poured s nice looking chunky orange body with a frothy light beige head that leaves tons of lace on my RBWG tulip. Aroma bounces from citrus to smoke effortlessly, oranges to campfire to tangerine to grspefruit to smoked wood. Nice medium to fuller body with softer carbonation and a thicker dry mouthfeel with a lingering light smokiness. Flavor smoked wood, smoked citrus rinds, orange meat, yellow grapefruit, lemonade powder. Interesting but I sadly wonder what this would of been almost 6 weeks ago when I brought it home.
