(Draught) cloudy orange, very nice lacing. Nose of whiskey, oak, citrus peel, grapefruit pulp. Taste has some astringent components, pine, menthol, wood, candied citrus, neat components.

Geez, what a disappointment. Served at a good temperature with a thick, creamy, off-white head and loads of lace sheets. Color is a hazy/cloudy brown amber. Aroma (my snooter donít work so well) is shave cream! Flavorís a bit like nose, whiskey comes thru (clashes), odd bittersweetness slight tang, Bodyís ok, but carbonation soft. Finish is like flavor, too long, and has off flavors. No aesthetic pleasure to this at all and gets a better score cause itís OB.

On tap at the Holy Grail. Orange pour with a white head. The aroma has some whiskey and orange citrus notes, as well a some vanilla. The flavor is similar. I get a lot of orange and pine, as well as some hoppy bitterness. That is accompanied by some oak, whiskey, vanilla and maple. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Sampled at the brewvival in charleston sc. Like a flat old daleís pale ale but with vanilla and some fresh cedary notes. Adam Mundy suggested a toasted coconut. But honestly, not as good as a fresh dales. Fun though...

Growler at Maltzillaís All American Weekend. Pours brownish golden color with off white head. Aromas of whisky, oak and vanilla with some floral hops. Whisky flavor is too dominant for my tastes. Mediun body with average carbonation. The regular Daleís is much better.

Another mad growler shared by Diego. This was not my favorite. Kinda sour vanilla flavors..

(Old BA rate - growler) Pours with a half-finger of bubbly eggshell head; OK retention but no lacing; really murky yellowy-brown color with noticeable sediment. Whisky; wood; vanilla; sweetish maltiness; burnt caramel; mildly noticeable hops in the aroma. The whisky notes show up first and then moves to a vanilla oak type of flavor; maltiness isnít too heavy but a little sweet in the finish; just a touch of hops come into play and I would have enjoyed a bigger presence there. Medium MF; very subtle carbonation. Not great for me really; just way to dominant on the whisky and I feel like the base brew just isnít strong enough to hold up to it = not very drinkable for me.
