COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

Tap - big thick head, nice medium copper color, good piney hop aroma and flavor, well balanced with malts

Pours a great goldish copper from the can with solid white head and good lacing. Aroma is piney from west coast hops; taste follows suit. Well balanced with a little bitter bite. More like an american IPA than pale ale.

Pours a deep gold/amber with a white head. Aroma of hops and a few floral notes. The first sip kicks you in the teeth with more of an ipa hop character than pale ale, but as you drink it the hops mellow out into an easy drinking beer I could pound a six pack of in a night.

A copper pour with a white head. The aroma is mostly light grapefruit. It has a light body with a slightly oily texture and lively carbonation. The taste begins and ends with a nice bittersweet flavor.

tron3000atl (28) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAY 16, 2012
Clear amber, citrusy and malty sweet aroma. Fresh hoppiness. Is huge for a pale ale, bigger and better than all the ipas that come from atlanta, which is not really saying much. Best beer in a can... other than deviant.

Pours a cleared amber with a very thin yet bubbly off-white head. Smells instantaneously of vegetation, citrus, leather, and palm tree bark. Nice. Tastes of oniony hops, plastic, Candi sugar, lettuce and tin. Decent all around.

Lukaduke (99) - Portland, Maine, USA - MAY 14, 2012
Pours a nice copper color with a real foamy two finger head with great lacing. Light aromas of citrus hops, caramel and a touch of tropical fruit. Very well balanced on the palate with a good amount of hop presence; grapefruit, pine and a bit of fresh grass, balanced out by a slight sweet malt that helps carry the beer through to the nice lingering bitter finish.

kryon (259) - SWEDEN - MAY 13, 2012
Pours light amber with low white head Hoppy aromas of citrusy fruits, some pine, a bit honey/caramellyness Sweet malty start with fresh hoppy taste. Medium bitter ending which makes it feel more like an ipa. This is a very good apa!

Can. Pours a honey orange with thick two finger white head. Aroma is a ton of pine, grass, abundant malts. Taste is similiar with nuts, bitter hops, and resin. Not too much citrus in this beer for the amount of hops. Light bodied and an wasy day time drinker. This beer was good but lacked the floral notes of most hops in this style. Worth trying. Re rate: on tap it was much better and way more juicy and balanced.

Amber in color with nice off-white head. Wonderfully strong yet balanced hop/malt aroma. Great bitterness with a solid malt backbone. Notes: Pub visit during ’09 GABF but I’ve had this one so many times I can believe I never rated it. A great reliable beer!
