Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume.

Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can?

Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can’t, where flavorless canned beers don’t belong. And no matter where you drink Dale’s Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

Was very pleased with this beer. Had it right out of the can...so I know...not the best for quality commenting on the beer. I can’t get it around here...had it in Dallas, TX last week while traveling. Nice and hoppy...great flavor. Will worth the price!

Nice lacing, great copper color. Slight bite and not quite smooth, aroma is faint. Above pale ale for the value and everyday drinkability.

A great go to beer. Pours dark amber, thin head. Possibly a wee bit too carbonated. Loads of hops and bitterness, which persists. For an American pale it has a depth, sweetness and clout which almost tips it into Imperial territory. Punches above its ABV Good stuff.

This is a beautiful beer in the glass. very prominent hop profile. I would call this an IPA, but these days you might call it an American pale ale. Darker than I expect, it's a nice Amber. Good ratio of sweet bitter and alcohol. Next time I'm looking for an IPA I'll consider this one. Of course if you're drinking it from the can you might be having a different experience. Cheers!

On tap @ Dorothy 6. Pours a medium orange amber with a thin white head. Not much of an aroma. I found this to be very ordinary and plain. It was fairly smooth and somewhat crisp with a slightly bitter finish. Nothing special here, I’ll be moving on.

Can from Whole Foods Market in Mountain View, CA. Pours amber with a thick, creamy head that lingers. Aroma is bready, malty, hoppy. Taste is the same. This is really good...incredibly balanced and bready/beefy. A go-to pale ale (akin to Anchor’s Liberty Ale).

My go-to beer......great balance of malt and hops. Packs a nice finish without overwhelming you. Light enough for beach season, but also robust enough for a wintry day by the fire.

Can at The Font, Manchester. Pours a hazy amber colour with a fizzy off white head. Aroma of toasted malts, caramel, slight cereal, some grapefruit, a little mango and pine. Taste of toasted malts, caramel then big grapefruit, some orange, slight mango, resin and grassy hops. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A dry, lingering, toasted, resinous hop bitterness in the finish. More like an IPA than a APA, big grapefruit and resinous hops balanced perfectly with toasted malts and caramel, really smooth for a 6.5 too. Highly anticipated and enjoyed it.

Can. Hazy amber with plenty of fizz and a decent, off-white, head. Citrus fruit, grassy hops, some strong cereal mlats and a dryish finish. Enjoyable.

12 oz can served in a mug (from notes). Pour is medium-dark amber; surprisingly dark for style, and suggesting a rich PA. Clear with a nice creamy light tan head, about 2 fingers from a rather gentle pour. Aroma: somewhat vague blend of hops but with a slight off-odor. T - Both citrus and pine notes suggest multiple hops {the brewer says "four kinds of American hops"}. Quite hoppy for a PA, yet only mild-to-moderate bitterness. Detectable malt contribution here, but balanaced towards the hops. Slight off-note in the aroma was essentially masked by the hops and malt in the taste. Flavor improved with a bit of warming from a cold pour. M - medium body; rather full for style. Good carbonation. O - Dale’s Pale Ale is easy to recommend for "no glass" situations when one needs canned beer and wants one that is hoppy.

From can, pours light amber color with a frothy beige head. Resiny aromas with a touch of sweet malt. This is a fresh, medium-hopped brew, not over the top bitter. Flavors are balanced with a dose of malt, with a pleasant, lingering, slightly piney finish. Nicely done, rapidly becoming my go-to owing to excellent local distribution.
