Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume.

Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can?

Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can’t, where flavorless canned beers don’t belong. And no matter where you drink Dale’s Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

UPDATED: SEP 13, 2012 Clear tannish red out of a can with thick head. Pale ale aroma light beer and decent. Solid flavor but a bit roasty. Actually, quite roasty. Yuck.

From a can, on the train. Great balance between bitter hops and weighty malt. Superb texture, creamy yet not remotely cloying, very clean in the finish. Hop fruitiness comes through too, but it’s predominantly bittering hops.

Smells warm; biscuit with a little caramel. Has good body with a slightly bitter pine flavor; some oatmeal and bread. A solid beer.

Brevard, NC version. Unfortunately something is terribly wrong with the east coast Brewery. The past month after consuming horrible digestive problems would appear and make my friend suffer for a day. The batch this week has an uncharacteristically dark color and the 3 of agree it has the smell of Beer, Grapes and Dirty Socks. Previously my favorite easy to drink and delicious pale ale has turned not worth drinking and will go down the sink. A sad day in Ohio to say goodbye to a former good friend.

Good APA, but not great. Really smooth and drinkable and I wouldn’t hesitate to grab another one and yet on a night of tasting some fairly average beers it didn’t really stand out...underwhelming.

More hops than all the other Pale Ales that I’ve tried, I’d buy it again, can’t wait to try some other beers by this brewery!

Draft, had a few pints of this tonight! nice copper pour with a finger of white head. Aroma, mild hops, citrus, and a bit of malty sweetness. Taste, bitterness from the hops up front, followed by a nice sweet malty backbone and a semi bitter finish, overall its very well rounded, and something that I could drink a lot of on any given night, just wish it wasn’t so expensive here compared to what it costs in the US! Great stuff nonetheless.

A- Pours a golden orange hue with a nice, 2 finger, off white head. S- Smell is very malty and wheaty with subtle hints of piney hops. T- Very bready, slight sugary aftertaste reminiscent of Fat Tire. M- Medium bodied, Medium Carbonation. D- This is definitely an easy drinker. Not as hoppy as I would have enjoyed and a little bit of an off flavor towards the end but a very tasty pale ale none the less.

Floral, fruity & hoppy with the can preserving all of these characteristics perfectly & freshly. Every sip is flavorful & exciting like no other pale ale I can remember having though I think this beer is really an IPA masquerading as a pale ale. A+
