3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Canned on 1/27/14
Tasted on 3/27/14 from a 12oz can purchased at Frugal MacDoogal. Pours hazy dark orange/amber with a thick off-white head that slowly recedes to average lace, leaving sticky lace along the inside of the glass. The nose is a bit more malt than hops, with some caramel and bread, and the hops showing with some pine resin, but no where near as intense as I expected. The flavor is the same malt forward style of pale ale, caramel, bread, and decently bitter pine resin hops. The body is medium with average, stinging carbonation and a long malty and bitter resin hops finish.

Can, did want to try this for a long time, but’s sadly it wasn’t fresh at all. Pours clear golden with small off-white head. Malty, dank hops, subtle piny notes. Taste is malty, grains, caramel, subtle citrus, fainted hops. Medium bitter finish. Caramel and dank hops.

From the stovepipe big can now selling for $3-. Nice mix of hops, goes down smooth and easy. I’ve had this a number of times over the past couple years, but now that it comes in this new big can I will probably buy more often. Makes a nice side car when a 6-pack just isn’t enough.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Look; standing light tan foam, amber golden clear body, fluffy rings as lacing.
Aroma; citrus, hops, grass, dust, bread.
Taste; citrus, malts, hops, bread, syrup.
Somewhat sticky. Finishes with hops and roasted malts. Not bad. Quite ok, especially along with grilled meat or hot salty spicy snacks.

Can @ ølbutikken. Pours clear amber with an off white head. Aroma is pretty malty with notes of earthyness, sweet resin, caramel and some herby grassy hops. The taste is also very sweet and malty with notes of caramel, sweet resin, weak bitter hops and some oxidation. Would love to try fresh...

12 oz can. Appearance pours a deep copper, with a 2 finger thick head. Aroma is hoppy and malty. Taste is sweet, amber, decent bittering on the end but not overpowering. Palate is soft with less carbonation. Overall pretty good, you can definitely drink this any time.

The original craft can! Love this beer. If ever I’m in doubt and need a good solid choice for staying or for leaving, this fits the bill.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours golden with a modest white head. Nose is a bit like an IPA with a bit of a hop bite and distinct pale-ale maltiness. Flavor is fairly simple but very good: moderately strong bittering hops balance perfectly with a sweet, almost candy-like malt and just a hint of warmth. Backside is smooth and down the middle. About as good as medium-gravity "normal" ales can get.
