Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume.

Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can?

Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can’t, where flavorless canned beers don’t belong. And no matter where you drink Dale’s Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

Tin from beer52 beer club. Lacks aroma somewhat. Orangey head on pouring. Hops by the bucket load which is major plus points from me. Perhaps a slight metallic tang but bearable. Packs a punch at 6.5%

The aroma is malt a little bit of floral hops. Appearance is copper/orange with a decent but if carbonation taste is typical American Pale Ale. Nothing mind boggling but not terrible either. Fairly balanced malt and hop profile. Palate: thin/ medium bodied fairly effervescent. Decent lacing and a thin sheet of white head. Overall- decent APA but somewhat overrated. Would not buy again for the 20$ A 6-pack costs in Canada.

From a 355ml can on 10/9/2016. Pours a deep, quite dark golden with a medium head. Has a light fruity nose. The flavour features lots of sweet citrus and stone fruit followed by some pretty firm hops. Has a medium to full body and average to lively carbonation. A very high quality, flavoursome APA.

On tap at St Augustine’s, Vancouver. Clear golden pour with an off-white head. Just a fantastic pale ale - nice assertive hops on the nose, bright and fruity, tropical fruits, pear, citrus zest. Flavour is nicely balanced, fruity and hoppy while still very drinkable.

0.57 l can from ’Saveur Bière’, canned in July 2016. Clear, dark reddish amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish, moderately fruity-resiny aroma of candied orange, strawberry jam, a touch of mango and some pine. Quite sweet and malty, moderately fruity and slightly resiny taste of candied orange, strawberry jam, some caramel, a bit of mango and pine, followed by medium long, moderately bitter, resiny finish. Medium body, slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Good old school stuff! Clearly different from today’s standards, but I like it!

Can at home. Pours hazy amber with a white head. Aroma grass, caramel, pine, old school nose, light fruity. Taste is medium bitter with loads of caramel, light bread, pine, flowery hops, citrus. Old school and bit stale. But decent.

Out of the can poured a gorgeous light copper, filtered clear, with a frothy off-white head. Really impressive visually. I got moderately-high grassy and citrus hop notes, along with caramel malt, hay and some earthy undertones. Unfortunately I detected an unpleasant buttery aroma/flavour in my sample, which others in my group perceived as a bruised/rotting apple. Will definitely try this again, as there may have been something off with the glassware or this particular batch (I checked, it was canned 3 months prior to consumption). Evidence of a really great beer here. But was hard to ignore what I was perceiving as a slight off-flavour. Will try again.

Pours a clear copper colour with a white head. Noses fairly malty, somewhat spicy and just lightly hoppy. Round, spicy malty taste with hints og bitter hops. Your father’s craftbeer

The aroma is full of hops, malts, flowers, citrus, caramel, pine and dried fruits. The color is copperlike and caramelish. The taste is full of hops, caramel, citrus and pine. A nice beer!
