COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

I happen to be lucky enough to live in an area where this is available. Pours a nice amber color, decent head that lasts about 1/3 of the way through. Very hoppy - sweet taste. The alcohol doesn’t overpower the beer, either. I highly recommend trying this brew.

Tap at the Ginger Man NYC. Amber brown with a thick head. Long super bitter finish, rides down the tongue. Good richness. Citrus maybe lime. Almost astringent. Great stuff.

19.2 oz can partly poured into a pint glass. A: Pours a copper color with good clarity. The head is a three finger offwhite shade. I really like how much lacing it leaves on the glass in particular, not to mention the fluffiness of the head itself. S: The aroma is what you’d expect, grassy/piny Cascade hops and caramel malts. Hoppiness is amplified when inhaled directly from the can. T: This is quite bitter to start. The leafy, herbal hop bitterness really comes through, though perhaps with not as much actual hop flavor as I’d like. Bitterness seems to cool off near the back end, creating something that’s pleasantly drinkable instead of oppressive. M: While the opening bitterness suggest this could be resiny and harsh, the finish is crisp and dry enough to scrub it away. Nice body and carbonation here, though I still think the back end is a little rough. O: You know you have something pretty good on your hands when 19.2 oz. seems like the right size for this one. Word of warning though - this one might be too bitter for newbs.

Pours amber with a rocky off white head that hangs on to keep the beer covered and leaves good lacing. Aromas are floral/citrus hops with caramel malts. On the subtle side, but a nice smell. Overall a great pale ale.

Canned 5/6/2013. Poured into a Sante Adairius glass. Pours clear orange-amber with a medium orange-tan head that slowly dissipates with nice lacing. Aroma is piney, with some underlying citrus and caramel. Flavor is about the same, very little sweetness, light bitterness, drying finish. Light body, some creaminess in the texture. Good, not great.

Had this from a tall boy can. Orange clear pour. Very hoppy but the floral and hoppy citrus taste shines through. Delicious. Good balance

Can. Pours light amber with a small white head. Aroma of resinous hops. Medium body with some malt sweetness upfront and a bitter resinous hop finish.

My favorite pale. So aggressively dry hopped that it almost reads as an ipa. Great hop notes and very well balanced for a very hopped American pale ale
