Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume.

Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can?

Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can’t, where flavorless canned beers don’t belong. And no matter where you drink Dale’s Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

Tap. Pours hazy orange with a frothy off white head. Hoppy fruity aroma, as well as malt. Smooth finish. Not very bitter.

Poured from can (what else) into a Firestone Walker tulip and tasted side by side with a FW Pale 31. Darker golden-copper in color with a small off white head. Nose is sweet and malty, lot of caramel. Bitter, malty taste with a lingering bitter sweet finish. Really like this.

Clear golden colour, white head. Malty aroma, pine, forest floor, light honey notes. Malty flavour, light hops, spruce, hint of straw, rather bitter. Lingering malts. Rather malt-forward, with a nice bitterness.

Pour from 12oz can. Golden color with huge lasting white head. West coast dank hop aroma. The taste is quite hoppy. Slight roasty caramel malt. The palate is very straightforward, easy to smash. I have a hard time calling this an apa. Its an IPA, and one of my favorites! Hefty carbonation and chewy mouthfeel.

Pours light copper and slightly hazy with a bone-white head. Aroma is packed with new world hops with a sweet malty backbone. Heather flowers, bitter orange marmelade, mown grass and sea breeze. The palate is medium bodied with fresh hoppiness, again sweet malts and a decent finish with good bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Interesting pale ale - almost without aroma due to minimal intensity, although some spruce, resiny, lime and sweet fruity hops comes out, sour berries hints as well. Taste is pleasant, refreshing balance between light sweetness and medium bitter, not too much, not too few. Some interesting hops in flavor or combo, but difficult to catch- kind of herbal+grassy+citrus+piney; interesting experience. Profiled more to hops side. Poured ambery with some darker hints, soapy but sustainable top, light lasing left. Medium+ body, compote+oily texture, medium dry finish, soft carbonation, medium long spruce, resiny finish. Nice pale ale but I wonder those 100 in style, really? Very clean finishing beer, no fruity esters.

19.2 oz can poured into a shaker. Lots of caramel malt aromas come off this initially, followed by crusty bread, light citrus, and herbal / pine notes. It pours a clear copper brown with a big, puffy, creamy, off-white head which retains well and leaves a decent puffy and sticky lace. The taste is a medium-high bitter with a malty, medium sweetness. Flirts with IPA territory on the bitterness side. There’s lots of soft carbonation to this one giving the texture a quality somewhere between oily and creamy. The full body finishes with burnt toast, citrus, and pine. The aftertaste is dry and grassy and lingers for awhile

Out of the can. Very pleasant aroma. Danky, piney and citrus. Taste is about the same. With hints of caramel. Hazey orange with white head. One of the best pale ales.

The beer is quite light to medium bodied, very bitter but not too aromatic. Actually, the aroma is grassy and bready, but not special. Yellow beer with almost no head. Just not that special.

Smell is very faint. Appearance is hazy amber with white head. Taste is subtle fruit with caramel bitterness at the end.
