COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume.

Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can?

Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can’t, where flavorless canned beers don’t belong. And no matter where you drink Dale’s Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2014 Ruddy golden-orange with a good, slightly orange head of large bubbles. Smells warm; candied orange peel, toffee. Bitter up front, sweet middle with a hint of caramel, tangy dry finish. Very good.

Can. Pours clear dark orange with a thick offwhite head. Aromas of malt, earthy notes, resin, citrus, hops. Taste is malty as fuck, citrus, dry, resin, orange peel, hops. I dont know how old this was, but my guess is pretty fucking old.

12 oz can. Appearance pours a deep copper, with a 2 finger thick head. Aroma is hoppy and malty. Taste is sweet, amber, decent bittering on the end but not overpowering. Palate is soft with less carbonation. Overall pretty good, you can definitely drink this any time.

On tap. Pours a clear orange with a gold hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has has citrus notes with light pine a hint of grapefruit and a backbone of grass and grain. Flavor is similar with a citrus and pine combination supported by grass, a touch of resin and light grains.

The original craft can! Love this beer. If ever I’m in doubt and need a good solid choice for staying or for leaving, this fits the bill.

Pours golden with a modest white head. Nose is a bit like an IPA with a bit of a hop bite and distinct pale-ale maltiness. Flavor is fairly simple but very good: moderately strong bittering hops balance perfectly with a sweet, almost candy-like malt and just a hint of warmth. Backside is smooth and down the middle. About as good as medium-gravity "normal" ales can get.

Orange colour, off white head. Aroma of slightly caramel, grassy hops. Taste is light sweet, light bitter. Light body, thin to oily texture, average carbonation. Good, I was just expecting more.

12 oz can, pours a nice amber color, nice off white head and nice lacing. Grassy, bready aroma. Flavor has a hint of citrus. Not really the style of beer I enjoy. This would probably be better on a hot summer day.

Can. Pours a light golden color, with a fair head. Aroma of mild hops with grain and light fruit. Taste of hops, grain, bit of fruit and malt sweetness. Nice bitterness and a clean finish. Moderate body, has a crisp, clean feel and nicely balanced. Enjoyable beer.

Aroma is grass, hay, grains, vegetable, light hops. Taste is grass, pine, plus a dry Ashy Aftertaste. Appearance: slightly more color than a typical yellow pale ale, above average white head. Medium carbonation. Not sure why this gets such high marks. It seems very pedestrian to me. Not even pedestrian....like a pedestrian with a limp.
