gunnfryd (2743), Kristiansand, Norway May 5, 2008 Can. Golden/orange colour with an off-white head. Aroma is citrus, hop, flowers. Flavour is citrus, hop, flowers, malt. Bitter finish. Nicy hoppy beer.
rampmaster (142), Alden, New York, USA Sep 4, 2008 Presentation: It was poured from tap into a pint glass.
Appearance: It has a very nice orange amber color with good clarity and a thin white head. The head fades quickly leaving just a ring of bubbles on top and very little spotty lacing that slowly slides down the sides of the glass.
Smell: The aroma has lovely aromatic hops with hints of citrus and mild pine notes. Under that there are light toasted and bready malt notes.
Taste/Mouth feel: The flavor has a good malt base with a mildly sweet caramel and buttery toasted bread character that is balanced with a pleasant flavor and bitterness from the hops. Hop flavors include mild resin and citrus (grapefruit/lemon) notes. Its finish has a nice bitterness that slowly fades off the tongue. Its light to medium bodied with active carbonation that tickles the tongue.
Notes: Overall it’s a very good easy drinking beer with plenty of flavor.
TOSG55 (32), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA Sep 2, 2008 Can. Pours a fairly light orange with a medium head. Aroma of citrus and floral hops. The flavor is strongly bitter with citrusy hops in the foreground, and nicely balanced with sweet malts. Slightly bready finish. A very good APA, though maybe not quite deserving of its phenomenal second place ranking within the style. tomthompson89 (1129), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 31, 2008 Had on tap at Coles. Nose is malty, with some citrus hops in the background but not too much. flavor has more hops in there but its more bittering then citrus, well balanced, nice pale ale. mikesis037 (1), Chicago, Illinois, USA does not count Aug 30, 2008 Had dales pale ale at the brary in pittsburgh with my father named Dale. solid pale ale. fakepurseninja (487), Sammamish, Washington, USA Aug 30, 2008 This is good stuff. big cracker malt backbone with some sharp hop notes and a moderate floral component.
