COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume.

Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can?

Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers canít, where flavorless canned beers donít belong. And no matter where you drink Daleís Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

Had this beer in the can and then again poured into a pint glass. The beer had a semi-cloudy and slightly-dark amber/copper color with a large foamy white head that had good retention, but little cling and average lacing. The aroma featured grainy and earthy hops, touches of spice and citrus, and a lighter straw and mash blend too. Its taste was somewhat grainy and bitter, and was a touch sour and fairly malty with light notes of sweet caramel giving way to a heavily bitter finish. The body was fairly dry with a filling mouthfeel, that had overall average carbonation but some good life and fizz.

On tap at Cork and Cask. Pours an amber color with white head. Citrus, piney, hoppy aromas. Piney, citrus hop flavors with a strong caramel backbone. A classic pale ale.

Can. Poured a clear, sparkly, orange color with small foamy white head. Aromas come out with pine and citrus. Flavor follows the nose exactly and is nice and hoppy with lots of grapefruit present and hints of lemon. Light body, thin and smooth texture, lively carbonation. Super smooth finish with a little bitterness. Awesome beer and crushable. I donít why it took me so long to try this.

Can from The Tuckaway, Raymond NH. Aroma is mild bready malts. Appearance is crystal clear copper brown with nice sparkle, 1 finger-width creamy white head with good retention and nice foamy lacing. Taste is rich, malty, moderate sweetness. Palate is medium bodied, velvety creamy texture, with hint of carbonation bite to the tongue and mildly bitter, long finish. Overall, a taste that far exceeds its aroma, with a gorgeous look and nice palate. Not complex, but very good at what it does.

UPDATED: JUN 6, 2015 Pours golden amber with thin, quickly dissolving head. Aroma is very faint. Some hops and a little pine, but surprisingly how little there is. Taste is big and bold and makes up for it. Bitter and strong up front, fading after the sip to that subtle citrus sweetness thatís the trademark of a good IPA. Not as good as their Deviant Daleís tallboy offering, but I like it.

This pours a semi-clear amber color with a slight off-white head. The aroma is hoppy with a touch of bready malts. The taste has hint of pine, citrus, and grapefruit giving it dry taste. Very tasty and well made, a nice flag ship beer.
