COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume.

Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can?

Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers canít, where flavorless canned beers donít belong. And no matter where you drink Daleís Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

No real notes on appearance or aroma, as I just have to drink this from the can. Full bodied brew thatís nicely hopped throughout, but light enough to ensure a good drinkability. Mild bitterness in the finish. Update: Draft at Oskar Blues: Pours a fiery amber with a small white head. Great hoppy aroma jumps out of the glass. A real solid caramel malt backbone supports the hops in the body. A real nice APA.

Poured from their new gas station tall-boy can (they cleverly call it a "stovepipe") into a dimple mug. This was a real let-down after years of anticipation. I canít understand how it gets such high ratings. Predictable true-to-style APA look and feel, caramel malt sweetness with extreme American hoppy traits. The description lists several tasty varieties, but grapefruity and dank resiny Columbus hops were all I could detect. Coarse to the point of harsh, with a strong metallic edge. Way too much alcoholic heat for a 6.5% abv. Not a harmonious, well-crafted ale overall. Perhaps this was a revelatory microbrew years ago, but there are countless flagship APAs nowadays which are far tastier.

Can / Realale Ltd / Twickenham. Pours a lovely copper colour. Taste is a little sweet with nice malty caramel flavour. Itís a hoppy pale ale but not overly so in comparison to a typical American IPA. Overall I was pretty underwhelmed.

Pretty damn nice pale available locally in a can. Whatís not to like? Nice hoppy bitterness, damn near an IPA, but with lower ABV. Very nice regular brew thatís not too much of anything, but pretty damn good at everything. Definitely in the running for my go to beer. Dark copper color, lots of carbonation, big white fluffy head. Flavor is overwhelmingly bitter, but in a good way. Light enough you can drink a 6 + 2 and not feel crucified the next morning, but heavy enough that you donít feel like youíre wasting your time. VERY NICE!

15.1.2015. Pale copper orange. Quite sweet aroma of caramel, toffee and aromatic hops. Taste has same elements, caramel malts and sweetish toffee having decent bitterness as well. Enjoyable.

Malty, balanced with toffee and caramel dominating understated citrus notes. Very smooth on the palate, showing a lively hop backbone that puts it almost straddling the line between IPA and pale ale. Malty balance defines the style. Reminds me of Alpha King in that sense.

On tap into tulip. Minneapolis. Pours copper-orange in color. Transparent. White head. Aroma is light citrus, some pine, biscuity, malty. Taste is lightly bitter with some sweetness. Body is medium, weaker mouthfeel. Medium finish. Decent beer but kind if missing something.

Copper pour, thin white top. Mild hop and malt aroma. Same in the flavor. Pretty clean finish. Nothing to dislike here, but a little boring.
