COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume.

Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can?

Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can’t, where flavorless canned beers don’t belong. And no matter where you drink Dale’s Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

Can poured into a pint glass. A slightly cloudy beer with a creamy head that leaves gentle lacing. Strong hop aroma which is what I would expect when it says "a huge voluminously hopped mutha" on the can. Hops on the nose, hops in the mouth, but the malts deliver some balance. There’s a bitterness that lingers but I expect that from a beer that delivers 65 IBUs. It’s not my favorite American Pale Ale, but it’s certainly not a bad beer.

12 oz pour from a can into a thick mug. Wow. Probably the best pale ale I’ve ever had. Nose is doughy and fruity. Mouthfeel, creamy. Perfect color and carbonation. Tastes biscuity, malty, creamy, a little citrus. Perfect level of hops. Makes me want to keep drinking more.

Can from SB. A friendly beer, but too anonymous taste and aroma, especially conssidering 6.5 % abv.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours copper with a off white head. Taste caramel, citrus, sweet. I thought this was good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

If I could give this beer less than zero it would still be to high, very first mouthful made my jaws water like I was going to puke. I cannot believe this beer gets such a high rating

Can from Cellar Door, Sutton Coldfield. Really nice, pithy sweet APA. Fruit peel, buttercream hops, iced jelly. Hearty, zesty. Good drop.

330ml can. Clearish amber color. Medium size, beige head, stays. Sweet, mashy malts, very faint citrus, caramel in aroma. Malty, sweet, candy, caramel, tobacco in taste. Medium bitterness. Tobacco caramel in aftertaste. Medium carbonation. It’s sweet and malty. Naaah...

Keg at BD Shepherd’s Bush tap takeover, London. It pours a hazy orange color with a medium white head. Aroma is hoppy, fruity, with notes of citrus peel, tangerine, mango, ripe apricots, grass, orange marmalade. Taste is lightly sweet and medium bitter with notes of mango, apricots, pine cones, grapefruit, citrus leaves, grass. Finishes quite dry and bitter with resinous hops. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, really good APA

12oz can pours dark red amber with finger of head. Nose and palate are both malt heavy and lack real substantial hop presence, puzzling as this can is hardly 2 weeks old. Malt sweetness and bitter, light citrus notes. Some subtle piney orange in there. A let down.
