COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume.

Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can?

Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers canít, where flavorless canned beers donít belong. And no matter where you drink Daleís Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

Found at Palmers in Lagrange. Big hop notes up front but the pallet lacks the dryness I expected. Golden amber color with a huge head. Malt notes and a slight apricot after taste. Bit of a funk after taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pretty sure Iíve had this before but apparently never rated it. 33 cl can @ home. Clear rusty orange color, full sized white head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is lightly malts, nicely hoppy, nicely fruity. Taste malts, hops, malt bitter, bitter. Medium body and carbonation. Nice one!

Decent light brown appearance and head. Nice balanced aroma. Taste is not too hoppy, not too malty. A little bitter.

Can: Deep amber & shiny copper gradient from top to bottom. Translucent, cloudy, & capped with a fine layer of bright white foam. Very modest lacing. Aroma is fairly light & laid back, but does its job nicely. Small blast of citric-forward hops; juicy grapefruit ring, orange zest, pine, mild hemp oil, & some fresh cut grass. Only a touch of toasted bread from the malt. The three biggest components of the flavor are: grapefruit peel, oranges, & pine resin. Pretty good summation. Hints of candied citrus rind, wet hop leaves, grass, & a slight kick of oily dankness. Back-end builds with a hint of earthy bitterness, but never pushes things past the APA limit. Sweet bready malt lingers a bit after the hops fade in the aftertaste. Drinkable. Nice pale ale.

Balanced aroma of malt and hops. Strong citrusy aroma and flavor with grapefruit being dominant. Good with Mexican food. Your basic APA.

04.22.14 store label. Poured from a can into a beer cab glass on 07.03.14. A: Caramel, flower. A: 3 finger head. See through amber. Nice lacing. T: Flower, citrus, malt dominate. Apple is subtle. P: Somewhat creamy. O: The first one that I had was a bad beer, but this one was fairly fresh. This tastes like an old style APA. Itís not as hop forward as West Coast style APAs, but more balanced. Itís a solid APA.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation, clean, silky & smooth. Drying in the aftertaste. A simple straightforward IPA that is called a pale ale.

Pours clear pale amber with two fingers of rocky ivory head, excellent retention, good lacing. (4/5) Nose is citrus and pine, caramel malt. (8/10) Taste is mild sweet, strong bitter. (8/10) Light body, moderate carbonation, lingering bitter finish. (4/5) Nice starts-with-C hops in the nose and pleasant bittering on the tongue. Big without being overwhelming, flavourful without being a hop bomb (though at 65 IBUís, some might disagree with me). Not sure when you saw it off and call it an IPA instead of an APA - personally I think this thing comes close to an A/DIPA, to be honest - but itís nice no matter what you call it. And for itís target use - backpacking etc., where glass bottles arenít an option - thereís not much better out thereÖ other than Heady Topper, of courseÖ or their own Ten FidyÖ But this is definitely worth bringing a sixpack on your next hike.(16/20)

On tap at The Rabbit Hole. Pint pour. Coppery color. Persistent, pretty froth on the ale. Lacing is strong. Malty, caramel offset by a welcomed bitterness. This just tastes like they have mastered the art of brewing a pale ale. Smooth. Bitter aftertaste with some floral qualities too. Good standby option when in Denver.

Can from Cornelius. Hazy amber body with a medium off-white head. Steady carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma of peach and menthol. Flavour of grapefruit, pine and overripe orange. Sweet and light at the same time. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Very tasty, perhaps a touch too sweet for me to have another though.
