COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume.

Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can?

Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can’t, where flavorless canned beers don’t belong. And no matter where you drink Dale’s Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

pours orangish-gold with off-white head. aroma is sprucy, piney hops, along with biscuit and floral notes. taste has more pine hops, but also some malt and a touch of sweet candied fruit notes that help balance out the bitterness. creamy body and not much carbonation. good, and seems very close to an IPA to me.

Can from Cellar Door, Sutton Coldfield. Really nice, pithy sweet APA. Fruit peel, buttercream hops, iced jelly. Hearty, zesty. Good drop.

330ml can. Clearish amber color. Medium size, beige head, stays. Sweet, mashy malts, very faint citrus, caramel in aroma. Malty, sweet, candy, caramel, tobacco in taste. Medium bitterness. Tobacco caramel in aftertaste. Medium carbonation. It’s sweet and malty. Naaah...

Keg at BD Shepherd’s Bush tap takeover, London. It pours a hazy orange color with a medium white head. Aroma is hoppy, fruity, with notes of citrus peel, tangerine, mango, ripe apricots, grass, orange marmalade. Taste is lightly sweet and medium bitter with notes of mango, apricots, pine cones, grapefruit, citrus leaves, grass. Finishes quite dry and bitter with resinous hops. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, really good APA

12oz can pours dark red amber with finger of head. Nose and palate are both malt heavy and lack real substantial hop presence, puzzling as this can is hardly 2 weeks old. Malt sweetness and bitter, light citrus notes. Some subtle piney orange in there. A let down.

In a can. Light body. Citrus flavor with lots of pine and hop flavor. Enjoying this at a bar.

Pours a hazy golden color with a medium white head that left good lacing around the glass. The aroma is quite hoppy, some metallic, bready. The taste is citrusy hops with quite a bit of bitterness but it is not overpowering. There is some breadiness and alcohol noticeable as well. The mouth-feel is on the medium side.

From a can. Grapefruit and hop aroma. Copper in colour with an off white head. Highly hopped with grapefruit, lime and orange peel flavours. Medium bodied with sharp bitterness in the finish. Excellent.

355ml can. Dark brown to amber with large, rapidly fading dirty white to almost light beige rapidly decreasing head leaving quite a bit of beautiful snowflake like lacing. Piny aroma backed by some malt sweetness, some high citrus as well. Nice bitter taste backed and held up by a good malt sweetness. Lasting bitter aftertaste with some warming alcohol and vague notes of the same in flavour. Not too complex but still a rather enjoyable APA, for drinking rather than contemplating.
