COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume.

Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can?

Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can’t, where flavorless canned beers don’t belong. And no matter where you drink Dale’s Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

Rating #973 - February 13, 2014 - Love canned IPAs and APAs - great golf beers and camping beers. $18.69 CAD for 6 355mL cans at Co-op. Aroma is a spicy, grapefruity eruption right out of the can into the pour. Pours a good amber colour with a perfect sticky white foam, spotty lacing, decent retention. Medium carbonation, mild-medium alcohol warmth. Palate is a decent lemon grapefruit citrus hit, with some sticky pine resin notes, and a comfortable ABV - supah crushable. This will probably be my golf course 6er for 2014, pending availability in good ol’ Redfordland.

Malty, balanced with toffee and caramel dominating understated citrus notes. Very smooth on the palate, showing a lively hop backbone that puts it almost straddling the line between IPA and pale ale. Malty balance defines the style. Reminds me of Alpha King in that sense.

Copper pour, thin white top. Mild hop and malt aroma. Same in the flavor. Pretty clean finish. Nothing to dislike here, but a little boring.

Mmmm nice amber color. No notable aroma. But actually really tasty. Some good malty flavors. Creamy mouthfeel. Well-hopped. Tastes like a malty IPA.

Good hoppy aroma, very bitter for pale but enjoyable. Munich malt character with crisp bitter finish. In a can so can drink just bout everywhere.
