4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Rating #973 - February 13, 2014 - Love canned IPAs and APAs - great golf beers and camping beers. $18.69 CAD for 6 355mL cans at Co-op. Aroma is a spicy, grapefruity eruption right out of the can into the pour. Pours a good amber colour with a perfect sticky white foam, spotty lacing, decent retention. Medium carbonation, mild-medium alcohol warmth. Palate is a decent lemon grapefruit citrus hit, with some sticky pine resin notes, and a comfortable ABV - supah crushable. This will probably be my golf course 6er for 2014, pending availability in good olí Redfordland.

Yummy boosted hop overload for a pale. Heavy carbonation and medium-high mouthfeel. Quenching. Subtle caramel notes with a dry hop aftertaste. great.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
COD 4/21/14. Pours a clear almost medium amber with a nice dark ruby tint. Tremendous head with excellent lacing and retention. Very nice nose of tropical citrus hops over a pine and light caramel background. Medium body with an almost slick texture. Above average carbonation with a nice effervescent finish. The flavor profile is complex and well balanced. It begins with a blend of hop flavors found in the nose, then rapidly flows to a pine focused hop bitterness over a slightly tart note. As the bitterness fades, a light caramel sweetness emerges in the effervescent finish. A tart pine bitterness with hints of spice lingers.

Very ballanced beer. Fresh, hoppy aroma, not too pushy, same as taste. Very smooth and easy drinkable. Good, refreshing beer.

Heavy hop bitterness dominates this excellent beer without ever going overboard. Highly refreshing despite strength.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from can into pint glass: Pours clear golden with a hint of amber and a foamy one finger head. Aroma of grass, resin, and a bit of bread. Taste has a slight malt sweetness backed up with a strong hop presence. Lots of pine, a little bready, very well balanced. Medium body, medium carbonation, fairly dry finish. Nice pale ale.

Can. Pours hazy amber with an average, off-white head. Aroma of caramel, citrus, peach and flowery notes. Sweet flavor that ends up dry and nice bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carb. A very nice APA.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from can (what else) into a Firestone Walker tulip and tasted side by side with a FW Pale 31. Darker golden-copper in color with a small off white head. Nose is sweet and malty, lot of caramel. Bitter, malty taste with a lingering bitter sweet finish. Really like this.

Clear golden colour, white head. Malty aroma, pine, forest floor, light honey notes. Malty flavour, light hops, spruce, hint of straw, rather bitter. Lingering malts. Rather malt-forward, with a nice bitterness.
