COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume.

Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can?

Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers canít, where flavorless canned beers donít belong. And no matter where you drink Daleís Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

12-oz can. The beer is cloudy and golden with a tall white persistent head. Very good lacing on the glass. It has an excellent bold aroma: malty and citrusy. Taste is equally big. Nothing understated here. Medium sweetness at first but immediately overwhelmed with hoppy goodness. And the hops just donít quit. Long finish. Medium body. Overall I loved this beer. I would rate it among the top American ales I have tried.

12oz can. Amber pour with frothy off-white head. Slight haze, beautiful lacing. Flavors are bready malts, lemon, grapefruit, apricot, biscuit, caramel, pine resin and grass. Light to medium body, moderate to high carbonation, oily texture.

Special-ordered this legend. Bottled less than a month ago, so very fresh - yay! Appearance: finger length head stays around a long time and leaves plenty of splotchy rings of lacing. Aroma: Earthy, citrus, and floral hops all at once. Malty also. Flavor: reminds me a lot of Tallgrass 8-Bit (and perhaps not coincidentally, both are canned). Malty, some earthy hops, a tad watery on the palate. Also a nice "slice" of tropical fruit. Hoppier than Tallgrass in the finish; bitterness lingers nicely. Overall, despite the bitterness, this is so light that itís actually very easy to drink. This is definitely an APA; too mellow to be an IPA. Nicely balanced.

Nice caramel color and white head. Light, pleasant grassy aroma. Nice malt sweetness perfectly balanced with a grassy, apple, floral hop finish. Medium carbonation. Very tasty and easy to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at the Pure Bar and Kitchen, Birmingham. Poured a hazy medium amber with a reddish hue and a frothy white head. The aroma is resin hop citrus. The flavour is medium bitter with a smooth woody resin hop citrus palate and a long nettle hop bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. This beer really makes a statement. Tastes stronger than it is.

Aroma of caramel, hop, malt, citrus. Appears clear and copper-like. Good balance of hop and fruit. No idea what ABV is on this but that may be a good thing.

Before this beer the only other PA allowed in my fridge was Sierra Nevada. Excellent hop character with great drinkability.

Nice hop aroma and solid color of the body. More euro hops on the first taste with a nice malt character. Lingers on the palate nicely.
