3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A: Poured from the can into my Russian River pint glass. The beer is clear and amber in color with a thin white foam that leaves some lacing on the glass.
S: The smell is a nice combination of citrus hops (with a mild piney quality) and quite a bit of sweet, bready malt. There is also a mild honey smell.
T: The taste is fairly comparable to the nose. The hops are certainly present, but not overwhelming. The citrus flavors are dominant in the beginning, followed by a sweet malt flavor, and a bitter finish.
M: The beer is fairly well carbonated and the body is medium, but on the fuller side for a pale ale.
D: A good example of a Pale Ale. Not overly hoppy nor malty, but a good balance of the two.

355 ml can from Wild Hops, served into a tulip. Pours a nice sunrise orange, pretty clear, with a big dirty white head that leaves great lacing. Being an extremely old can there isnít much aroma left unfortunately, mainly caramel malts, just a hint of citrusy hops and some dusty and soapy notes. Pleasent bitterness in the mouth that go away pretty quickly leaving a dry, herbal and somehow astringent and a bit unpleasent aftertaste. I was expecting a bigger body but itís actually light to medium, with a thin texture, slightly creamy. Correct carbonation. Iím obviously a tad disappointed but hopefully one day Iíll find a fresher can and re-rate it for a better and proper judgement.

Gold pour with a creamy white head. Aroma is fairly mild - a little caramel and a bit earthy. Slightly sweet taste, malt, citrus. Itís not really fair to compare it with their mammoth IPA that I just drank, but for the style I found it to be a little underwhelming

Can from Drinkstore, Dublin
Orange amber, hazy, bubbly white head, some lacing
Aroma - sweet fruity caramel, touch of light toffee, resinous hops, orange marmalade
Taste of sweet fruity caramel, hop resins, dab of barley sugar, nice sweet fruitt malts, orange citrus zest, sweet orange marmalade, well balanced
Palate - Medium carb and body. Finish soft tangy hops, sweet caramel, nice zesty hops, soft bitter finish
Overall - First of couple of sips, it was OK, but it got better with the drinking - itís tasty stuff, not big time hops but a nice hop malt balance. I prefer the cans, fresher taste.

Sweet, and very low bitterness. Light ale, good head, very well balanced. If craftbeers have their place in cans, then this one is up in the front.

355ml can. Clear, orangey dark golden to amber colour with huge, creamy, fairly lasting, lacing, off-white head. Biscuity malt aroma, cautious floral, yeasty overtones. Taste is moderately sweet biscuity malty, fruity hints of mango. Aseptic and phlegmatic like a Bad Religion song of the mid-90s.
