16oz can into a tulip. How is this not labeled an imperial and/or dipa? Oh so nice. Pours a hard amber orange with ripe crab apple backbone. Taste is, as they say, hoppy all over the place. Def my kind of brew. Theres a dark hop flare in there too, murky, somewhat woodsy, and a bit rum like. Dry aftertaste and the bitterness invites you back for some more. theres alot of dried citurs in there as well as some organic soil/grass that mixes in well. This is the second best ipa in a can Ive yet to come acorss (heady topper #1), so i am very pleased. still think its an imperial though.

4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
Resin, floral hop aroma. Golden appearance. When on tap, this has a thick head. Resiny, hoppy mouthfeel. Great balance between the hops and the alcohol. I am a hop lover, and this is probably my favorite beer ever. I also enjoy that it is widely available!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Amazing. Not overwhemling in the hops department. The aroma is hops, mainly citrus, slightly earthy, caramel. The appearance is a clear amber, white head., The flavor is caramel, citrus, earth, fruity. The finish is earthy, piney, resiny hops. Strong hops presence overall. Medium/thick in body, oily mouthfeel. Nicely done.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Kicked my ass. Drank two in an hour and memory was erased. I did not give the alcohol content the respect it deserves. Like no other beer i have tasted, this beer was my perfect storm. Hops are forward, bitter, resinous and wonderful. Not for the light beer drinker.

Growler. Poured copper with a creamy off-white head that settled to a ring and left thick lace. Aromas of citrus rind and caramel. The flavor found and exceptional floral and caramel blend. Medium body, smooth, and a medium bitterness throughout.

Poured from a tall boy can. Pours copper in color with thin beige head. Aroma is citrus, mainly grapefruit. Taste is slightly sweet with a fair amount of bitterness to balance. A real treat to drink on this warm July day at the riverbank

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Canned. Pours dark orange with a medium sized beige head. Good retention and lace. Bright pine and lemony-grapefruit citrus aroma. Light sweet, medium+ bitter flavor. Full of the same elements the nose hinted at. Medium-light body, oily-sticky texture, and a very bitter, very dry finish. Excellent IPA. Happy 4th of July!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
16oz can, haven’t gotten over that yet, still cool. Heavy, pretty orange-brown. foamy head, very smooth. Big piney aroma, mild citrus bite. Very smooth beer, sweet balanced malting, round bittering hops at the end. Not as refined or distinct as a pliny but really very tasty.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Quite a double IPA! Hop aroma is great - citrus, pine, resiny and dank; taste pleasantly rich with bitter backbone that lasts; finish leaves an impression of rich and dense IPA with great full-spectrum hop character.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Wonderful aroma from the hops and the taste that follows delivers all that the aroma promised: mostly evergreen and herb with just a hint of citrus in the back. The beautiful rich color adds a visual appeal to the taste. Not a casual beer, but this one can stand by itself while enjoying a cold one on your front porch. This beer would be a waste if served with the usual party junk food. Save this for a nice pairing with either a mellow cheese (Cammembert, Brie, or Muenster) or a complimentary flavor (Black Diamond or grilled Portabella mushrooms).
