This beer is intended to be a sensory assault for hop lovers. At 8.0% ABV, four hop additions during the brew process, and a final wallop of excessive Columbus dry-hopping, this beer is meant to say one thing: MORE HOPS! Perfect for these cool winter nights, The Deviant is a returning favorite from the little brewery in Lyons, Colorado that started the Canned Revolution!

Poured from a pint sized can. Huge aroma of citrus, slight pine and floral. The flavor is dominated by the hops, lots of citrus and resin. The malts are subtle but they are there. A great IPA.

Happy IPA day! Poured from a tallboy dated 5-15-12 so it's about a month and a half old..... a little past prime for an IPA. Pours a thick golden with thick white head and plenty o lacing. Powerful hop aroma of skunk, mango, pineapple and stank. Mouthfeel is heavy and malty. This is really a double IPA. Taste is a good balance of hops and malt. Tropical hops predominate with some alcohol warmth. Yeast is also definitely there. Overall, this is just an amped up version of Dales Pale ale, which is really an IPA, which makes this an IIPA. If you like Dales, or Gubna you'll like this. I really didn't. Something about OB yeast just doesn't do it for me. Oh well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can: Poured a coppery orange with a light tan head. Aroma is hops and yet a light skunk. Taste is a nice bitter hops that is balanced by a sweet caramel like malt. Not over powering like I originally expected. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear amber with moderately sustained tan-ish foam, leaving light lacing. Wonderful pine, citrus and floral aroma with a touch of... honey(?) A solid caramel backbone conveys a fine blend of citrus and mineral hoppy bitterness. The texture is slightly oily and full bodied, adequate carbonation. The ABV seems pretty well covered. GREAT BEER!

16 oz. can shared by dbsdelight- thanks again, Dan! Pours a semi-cloudy orange color with a small off-white head. The aroma has grassy, floral hops, pale and sweet malts, brown sugar, caramel, and pine. Flavor of pine resin, caramel malts, brown sugar, tropical fruits, and citrus. Light-medium bodied, with a malty, dry mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Good IPA but not quite up to expectations.

Pours a slightly cloudy, dark golden copper color with bright orange edges and a one finger white head that quickly settles into a lasting ring.  Streaks of soapy lacing left behind.   Earthy, grassy aroma that’s countered by sweetness from citrus/tropical fruit and caramel malt.  Resinous with some grassy pine along with grapefruit, orange peel and pineapple.  Malt is more prominent than expected but adds sweet hints of caramel and toffee. On the fuller end of medium bodied with a complex hop character balanced by malt sweetness.  Blast of earthy hops up front that provide a nice dry bitterness that is quickly checked by citrus and tropical fruit sweetness.  Hints of grapefruit, orange peel and mango with caramel malt, toffee and subtle nutiness adding sweetness for balance.  Subtle biscuit/graham cracker presence with a dry finish.  Well balanced and easy drinking but the hops still dominate.

Pours a a clear green-orange with a very thick, creamy off-white head. Aroma is pine, fruit, citrus, a certain sweetness, pineapple, grass. Smells really great. Flavor is remarkably smooth; pine, fruit, floral, mildly bitter with a sharp bitterness in the back. Really smooth though; crazy smooth. Light lacing. Super smooth, clean mouth feel. Slick; not chewy at all. Nice.
