16 oz can from a trade with cbkschubert. Pours clear copper-orange color with off white head. Aromas of pine and caramel. Lots of pine flavor with lots of bitterness but not too astringent. Medium body with average carbonation. Very nice. Thanks Craig.

16oz can into sniffer.
Pours a crystal clear medium brown with a hint of red. Moderate head. Nose is very fruity.
Canned 3/30/12. So it's fairly fresh.
Good hop flavor with a nice balance of bitterness. One of the better more accessible IPAs.

16 oz. can - beautiful red-orange-copper pour, ridiculously clear, fluffy full white head, gorgeous lacing. Intoxicating hoppy aromas on the nose, floral notes, sticky resin and pine... Wonderful smooth palate with a tangy bittering finish. Truly excellent and a delightful beer. Gee whiz!!!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tall Boy can from Downer Wine & Spirits. Pours a deep, amber color with a white head and nice lacing. Aroma is hoppy, pine, onion, garlic. Medium on the palate with soft carbonation. Flavor is bitter, hoppy, pine, onion, nice malt backbone, and a nice bitter hop finish. Seems very much like a blend of Dale’s and Gubna. Good, but not great for me.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Very piny resinous hops on the nose! Very hop forward, piney resinous hops, very dank, finishes a little sweet though, but the hop flavor upfront is nice.

Draft. Amber pour, off-white head, some retention/good lace. Aroma of pine, citrus, dank, earth. Taste is very bitter, pine/resin/citrus hops, caramel malt. Palate is oily, average carbonation, light warmth. Pretty similar to Dale’s pale.

UPDATED: JUL 30, 2013 Tall boy can, how ’bout that. Heavy almost oily like pine nose. This is big. Complex mix of candy malts with heavy resinous hop flavors of grapefruits. Peppery burn with dry finish. This is good! Will buy more.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Whole Foods, P st, DC 4-pack ($14): Ok, aside of the fact that this four pack of pounders was rather ridiculously overpriced, this is a good beer. In fact, it reminds me a lot of Heady Topper. The pours is quite nice: large white head with a nice copper body. Aroma is very floral, but there is also some fruitiness, and not too much malt. Taste actually has a malt backbone appear, which gives this beer a nice mild sweetness. There is a good amount of bitterness in here, but this is not so brutal as to impede drinking. Excellent for sure.
