This beer is intended to be a sensory assault for hop lovers. At 8.0% ABV, four hop additions during the brew process, and a final wallop of excessive Columbus dry-hopping, this beer is meant to say one thing: MORE HOPS! Perfect for these cool winter nights, The Deviant is a returning favorite from the little brewery in Lyons, Colorado that started the Canned Revolution!

On draft at MacGregors in Henrietta. Pours a melon yellow with a thin head of white soapy bubbles. Aromas and flavors of fruit, honey, citrus and west coast hops. Tongue-scrapping bitter. Well done.

Can from 99 Bottles. Can smell this beer as soon as I start pouring. Citrus, hops, caramelly sweetness. Hop taste stays on the tongue a while. Really, really smooth beer.

On tap. Clear dark yellow with a fluffy white head. Huge grassy pine grapefruit caramel vanilla and lawn clippings aroma and taste but fairly well balanced between the malts and the hops.

Can. Moderate roasted and caramel for the malt, perfume and grapefruit for the hops, light soap for the yeast with raisin, sugar and solvent in the background. Head is average size, frothy, slightly off-white with excellent lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is sparkling clear light amber orange. Flavor starts slightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes moderately acidic and heavily bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, oily with a livley carbonation and a heavily astringent and very drying finish. Very nice beer, this is my kind of IPA (verging on a DIPA)

UPDATED: AUG 5, 2012 Poured from a tap, but donít be afraid to buy this in a can. Probably the best canned beer out there that beats most bottled beer. If you like dales pale, this one amps it up a bit. A must have!

Copper/amber with a slight white head. Great lacing left on the glass. Aroma is of sweet citrus, fresh pine needles, and slight caramel. Spicy yeast, orange peel, and pine on the tongue. Fairly thick mouth feel for an IPA - resin, watermelon rind, yeast. Worth trying, it has a lot of characteristics Iíve never seen in an IPA.

How deviant! Great brew for hopheads!......Funky skunky hop flavor and citus aroma. I dig it and this brew would most certainly impress the hop gods!....

Refrigerated 16 oz. can at Laurripins poured into shaker. Pours amber with big beige head. No lacing, low carbonation, and big floral aroma. Taste is floral hops, pin , and finish is bitter hops. Had better IPAs.

Orange amber pour. Nice citrus hops. Slight spice. Hops very prevalent but not overwhelming. Oscar blues is either hit or miss for me. This is a hit ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap poured a dark orange color, aromas of citrus, pine, more citrus, and grapefruit. Flavors are the same, but a tad stale, maybe not as fresh as intended, slight caramel lingers, but if this was fresh the hops would destroy my palate.
