COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is intended to be a sensory assault for hop lovers. At 8.0% ABV, four hop additions during the brew process, and a final wallop of excessive Columbus dry-hopping, this beer is meant to say one thing: MORE HOPS! Perfect for these cool winter nights, The Deviant is a returning favorite from the little brewery in Lyons, Colorado that started the Canned Revolution!

Purchased at Breeze Thru Liquors in Milwaukee, WI; enjoyed while hanging out in a floatation device in the middle of Little St. Germain Lake in St. Germain, WI. I didn’t pour into a glass, but I did pour some into a friends empty beer can and could tell that it was a vibrant orange with a noticeable fizzy white head. Aroma very rich in citrus hops, almost like a DIPA except without the extra malt added. Taste was very similar to a DIPA, huge hop bomb and rather bitter with pronounced citrus notes. This was rather ’sticky’ and it was enjoyable, but not on a hot summer day in the middle of a lake. Would definitely like to try again in a proper setting.

Can. Pours a decent cheddar orange with a pleasant aroma of pine sap, orange peel, and grapefruit. Flavor follows suit but an added flavor of cinammon butter rounds it out. Oily mouthfeel. Tasty. Alcohol is hidden well.

Copper color with a medium sized head. Big citrus hop aroma. Juicy sweet flavor with bitterness that comes through at the end. I’d order this one again.

pint can courtesy of ibrew2or3. Cheers Dave! This beer rocks!

Can sample at a tasting at the Dancing Camel. Thanks David Cohen. Probably murky, probably amber colour (it was dark). Great pine and lychee aroma and great bitter, fresh, tree-like taste. Medium, round body, lively carbonation, hoppy bitter floral finish.

Can [500ml]. Pours a deep orange-copper with an average size lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma is all about the hops: Sweet, citrusy, spicy, resiny and more. Slightly sweet flavour of citrusy hops along with some alcohol, caramel malt, tropical fruit and a dry, average bitter finish (for the style). Medium bodied, sticky mouthfeel. Good stuff, a nice DIPA. -- Rated via Beer Buddy.

Tallboy poured a copper with red hues, medium off-white head, and notable lacing. Aroma is big on orange and lemon peel and piney hops. Taste is nice blend of sweet caramel malt, bitter hops, and hints of citrus on the finish. Big mouthfeel that lingers long after each sip. A little too much sweetness for me, but overall, a nice IPA.

Tall Boy Can: Pours a clear copperish-orange with a medium off-white head that is mostly lasting with nice lacing. Hoppy citrus aroma has hints of orange peel, floral and pine. Flavor is a mouthful of hop sweetness with hints of grapefruit and a tinglying spicy pine in the dry bitter finish.
