3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can at DRB, Miami. It pours deep amber, with a thick white head. The nose is pine, leaf, raw hop, resin and some underlying caramel sweetness. The taste is caramel, brown bread, resin, leaf, raw hop, pine and alcohol warmth, with a long, aggressive bitter finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Good bitterness, but a bit too much sweet malty notes for my liking. A solid IPA nonetheless.

Tin. Dark copper red with lasting white head. Full citrusy aroma, smells like sweet oranges. Much lacing. Full bodied, slightly overbalanced on the hop flavour, Light hop finish. Still a very good IPA

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at Texas Beerfest. Pours a clear amber with a small off white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is floral hops and pine. Medium mouthfeel with a strong bitter hop and light citrus with a nice bitter finish. Hides alcohol well making it easy to drink, a very impressive IPA from Oskar Blues.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a cloudy, copper orange color with a thick foamy head. Scent is hoppy with hints of citrus and some bready tones. This first sip is just pure greatness. It’s smooth, crisp, refreshing, and so tasty. The bread and citrus flavors hit my taste buds first as it finish with a crisp dry after taste. Well done Oscar Blues!

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20
16oz Can. Thanks for sharing, Kevin! The smells tough. My first thoughts are lemon cleaner and then some sort of candied syrup. The sweetness ruins me right away. On top of the palate wrecking sweetness is a mucky, mushy green vagrant of hop resin. Nothing becomes distinct and everything melds together as overbearing, unbalanced flavors. I could never drink very much of this.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a golden copper color from the can with a nice off white head and decent lacing. Smell is mostly pine and citrus from the hops, and taste follows suit. A little bit bitter on the back end, but overall well balanced. Nice, but like all oskar blues, its pretty intense.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
I normally like stuff from Oscar Blues, but this comes across a little sloppy. Hops are a little harsh and green and the malt is a little too sweet and not complex enough. Not bad, but not their best work.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours amber golden with sticky white head. Aromas really pop with citrus, pine, resin, and flowers. There was something off in the aroma-I don't know about "onions" tho...taste is similar along with sweet malts. Love Oskar blues, had higher expectations but solid brew none the less

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JUN 9, 2012 Radiant orange body. Large off-white head on initial pour, good retention, and a fine sheet of lacing. Nose is full of pineapple, pine, resin, orange, and unfortunately, a healthy dose of onion. Something that I’ve found in a number of Oskar Blues’ beers--and haven’t been able to really get over. Fortunately, the onion/vegetal notes all but completely disappear in the flavor as the resinous/piney/citric hops start to take over. Medium bodied, aggressive bitternes. A decent effort, but ultimately not my ideal aroma profile.

Bright, big, bodacious and beautiful. Grapefruit, pine and flowers in your face! Um, I mean aroma. Crunchy carmel malt flavors quickly followed by a bracing bitterness. And then some more bitterness and hop flavors with lightly toasted carmel in the finish. Long, luxurious and lasting. This IPA is more beer than many DIPA’s I’ve had. Had to downgrade it a little for the hint of onion/grassy hops.
