This beer is intended to be a sensory assault for hop lovers. At 8.0% ABV, four hop additions during the brew process, and a final wallop of excessive Columbus dry-hopping, this beer is meant to say one thing: MORE HOPS! Perfect for these cool winter nights, The Deviant is a returning favorite from the little brewery in Lyons, Colorado that started the Canned Revolution!

A clear amber body with a white head that had mild retention and even less lacing. Aroma had a great mix of grapefruit hops and pine hops upfront and a mild caramel malt sweetness that balanced out the hops. Some alcohol. Flavor had a nice sweetness to it, a little more than the aroma let on. Assertive hops balanced out the initial sweetness. More grapefruit hops then pine. Some warming alcohol. Good dry finish.

Once again oakar blues riddles a beer with summit. It is better than the lowly gubna though.

Can brought back from some grocery store in GA. This is a really cloudy beer. Aroma is certainly hoppy. It’s resinous with grapefruit and pine notes. The palate is very full and a little sticky. There is a boatload of hop flavor though it doesn’t really take on a life of its own, perhaps due to the heavy malt presence. Deviant Dales is plenty bitter. It’s a solid IPA.

From the 16oz can. Dark gold pour with a thick white head. Big pungent fresh citrus and pine hop aroma. Medium body, crisp fresh malt with a nice hop bite in the taste. Nice dry bitterness in the finish. Good brew.

Pours a light copper in color with minimal light head. Aroma is a strong spicy-sweet piney citrus with a sappy feel to it. Taste is sweet and bitter with a honey-like aftertaste that envelops the mouth. This is an excellent IPA with a perfect balance between malt and hops.

12oz can. Poured a deep clear golden color with a thick white head, that had good retention and lacing. Big floral and citrus hops arom with a little hint of caramel and cereal grains. Flavor is excellent with tons of hops all the way through from start to finish, with toffe, cereal grains, and doughy bread peaking through in the middle. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with nice and low carbonation.
