Pours a golden yellow with a creamy tan head. Aroma of musty pepper. Taste is peppery to an extreme. Almost has an ashtray quality. Not a good thing.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
copper colored with one finger off-white foam. Excellent lacing. Pine resin and floral notes in aroma with light tropical fruitiness. Taste is similar, some malt sweetness. Some summit garlic appears especially upon warming, but this is now where near as off-putting as in their single hop summit DIPA. Mouthfeel is a little abrasive.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
16oz can, purchased at Bottle Barn. Pours a deep, bright golden-amber color; creamy off-white head with solid retention and lacing. Dank grapefruit and pine in the aroma, along with plenty of warming alcohol, fruitiness, and sugary malts. Medium-full body, with moderate fine-bubbled CO2. Plenty of warming alcohol here, and this is well into double IPA territory: loads of fruitiness, an assertive maltiness (candied fruit, hints of caramel, sugar), and a vibrant hop bitterness of pine and citrus that, while endearing, just isnít enough to compensate for the high viscosity here, the slightly tea-like malt character, and overt syrupiness. Nowhere close to dry. A syrupy, high-impact double IPA that just seems like itís pandering. Alcohol + hops + lifeless maltiness. Lingering bitterness and paper in the finish.

4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Wow if you like grapefruit youíll like this beer. It pours with authority a beautiful cooper color into a nice thick head of tan color. This can was very fresh as told by the rings of lace that circled the glass with each sip. You must like hops to like this beer the hop flavor just keep on coming from the nose to palate to the aftertaste. So for the hophead out there this beer is for you.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled from a 16oz can this beer poured a dark caramel-amber color with a huge creamy orange-cream head that lingered forever and left decent lacing. The aroma was piney and herbal hops with an earthy undertone. The flavor was bitter, floral, perfumey and piney with light caramel and a dryish medicinal undertone. The finish was long with floral, herbal and piney hops. Moderately full bodied. Not really my style of IPA.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Reddish, not cloudy but a little hazy. Smells of sweet hops, citrus, and slight pine... great hop smell. Tastes a little woody on top of the sweet hops. Canít really taste many malts, but Iím fine with it. Itís very smooth, only lightly carbonated .The hoppy bitterness lingers a little which makes it slightly less drinkable, but the first part of the sip is great!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours almost copper in color, usually a bad sign for IPAs (for me, anyway). Luckily, my fears are proven unfounded. Great pine and grapefruit peel aroma with lots of herbal notes to it as well. Some malt sweetness and a hint of alcohol. The flavor is very heavy on the hop character. Big bitterness all the way through, but really nice pine and herbal hop flavors and a moderate citrus quality. The sweetness is moderate and held in check.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap: Pours a clear deep golden brass with a clingy-lacing white head. Has a lightly sweet pale malty nose with lots of resiny piny hops. Starts with good fullness and light malty sweetness with a lot of pungent hop flavor and bitter balance before a slightly drier bittersweet finish. A nice twist on a classic recipe that is surprisingly drinkable.

16oz can (awesome BTW) - Enough head fot such light carbonation, golden color and hippy nose. Not too bitter.
