This beer is intended to be a sensory assault for hop lovers. At 8.0% ABV, four hop additions during the brew process, and a final wallop of excessive Columbus dry-hopping, this beer is meant to say one thing: MORE HOPS! Perfect for these cool winter nights, The Deviant is a returning favorite from the little brewery in Lyons, Colorado that started the Canned Revolution!

Sampled at Trail Magic release party. Pours light brassy color with whitish head. Aroma is fruity hops, some white raisin, some cantaloupe. The flavor is fruity hop bitterness, pine, some honeyish malt. Straightforward... not bad at all.

Pine, resin, citrus hops held up by a big sweet malty backbone. Finish is lingering bitter with caramel sweetness, too. Quite nice.

Pour from a tall boy gave a golden copper beer with a modest off white head. Aromas were mighty good with pineapple, citrus, pine, and some dank weed like quality. Flavors start out sweet and turn bitter and kind of dry pretty quick. Lingering bitterness on the finish. Definitely a hoppy one.

16oz can. Rating #59. Beautiful looking beer, kind of a dark copper/amber/red color, very clear and ut has a long lasting, sticky white head. Sweet tropical pineapple aroma, real nice. Nice bitterness, more tropical fruit and citrus as well. Tasty stuff. (2234)

De viant dales is big, definately not for the faint at heart. I highly reccomend this to anyone who like IPA’S that are big in taste and character. I felt like it was pretty well balanced for the ABV and the serious amount of hops.

I have never been a huge fan of Dale’s Pale Ale. It’s good, but not my favorite IPA made here in colorado. For some reason, when they amp it up for Deviant Dales, it’s a whole different ball game. This is a great beer. Fantastic hop profile with just enough malt to balance it out. And who could complain about that big old can. It just looks awesome! I highly recommend.
