COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is intended to be a sensory assault for hop lovers. At 8.0% ABV, four hop additions during the brew process, and a final wallop of excessive Columbus dry-hopping, this beer is meant to say one thing: MORE HOPS! Perfect for these cool winter nights, The Deviant is a returning favorite from the little brewery in Lyons, Colorado that started the Canned Revolution!

growler. Light copper ale w/ mild white head, good lacing. Smells like heady, clean, muscadine fueled hops. Huge bite, but soo fucking drinkable. I get pine/evergreens & citrus yet can never escape a sweet grape ape or muscadine flavor... I am getting over a cold. Still pretty Perfect and a new addition to the the top IPA repertoire.

Rated based on notes taken 24 Apr 2012 -- Similar to an Arrogant Bastard in the Strong Malt and Strong hop presence. Both equally strong and neither really out-doing each other.

4 oz chilled pour into a cylindrical tasting glass from tap at the brewery’s taphouse. Fresh as can be! A bit hazy, light brown, and a great head with tons of lacing. Full bodied. Thick as syrup. Herby and grapefruity. Kind of an arugula bitterness to it. The aftertaste is surprisingly short lived.

Hint of hops in the scent with some malt. Dark gold color. Same hint of hops with the flavor, with the malt coming through

16oz can. Appearance: Pours a ruby red amber, with small and quickly dissipating off white head. Aroma: Citrus and tropical fruit hop notes are strong. Taste: Sweet and rich caramel malt with hints of candy and citrus. Sharp but moderate bitterness ends with fruity pebble like flavors. Mouthfeel: Medium body with a light bitterness. Finish: Lingering bitterness and citrus hop flavors with a bit of woodiness Overall: Rich maltiness does well to balance the citrus and fruity hop flavors. Much more of an east coast IPA than west coast

Ruby colour, beige head. Aroma of tropical fruits, grapefruit, very hoppy. Taste is medium bitter, light sweet, very fruity flavour like berries, cherries, a bit nutty as well. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Amazing IPA, very different but works great.
