COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is intended to be a sensory assault for hop lovers. At 8.0% ABV, four hop additions during the brew process, and a final wallop of excessive Columbus dry-hopping, this beer is meant to say one thing: MORE HOPS! Perfect for these cool winter nights, The Deviant is a returning favorite from the little brewery in Lyons, Colorado that started the Canned Revolution!

Pours clear amber with a large yellowish head. Smells of citrus and pine. Taste is very bitter, hoppy; lots of pine and grapefruit. Medium-bodied with a wet texture and mild mouth-carbonation, Oskar Blues Deviant Dale’s India Pale Ale finishes with a lingering bitterness.

This is my favorite go-to. The balance is in favor of the malt, surprisingly, and so I am surprised this isn’t imperial. This is perfect. Like a dessert beer. Huge nose on this! Mouthfeel is big. Taste is malty, with just the right hop characteristics to really make this stand out. I wish this came in bottles instead of 16oz cans. I would prefer a six pack of 12oz’ers. But if that is my only gripe, then that’s fine. Go get some. And share amongst your friends.

Wow if you like grapefruit you’ll like this beer. It pours with authority a beautiful cooper color into a nice thick head of tan color. This can was very fresh as told by the rings of lace that circled the glass with each sip. You must like hops to like this beer the hop flavor just keep on coming from the nose to palate to the aftertaste. So for the hophead out there this beer is for you.

On tap at Prohibition Taproom. Pours nectarine orange with a fat, two-finger off-white head that is pure, solid cream. Aroma is intense and confronting; huge hops preside up front, with some amazing orange, mango, and grapefruit nose, and a heavy dose of skunkines, alla Sour Diesel. Full bodied with a somewhat chewy, yet tremendously juicy mouth feel and a bitter-sweet inensity in the finish. The beer is perfectly blanaced in every regard. It pours perfectly, smells like odd heaven, tastes even better, yet it still somehow lacks the intangible for a 5. Try it wherever you find it, immediately.

De viant dales is big, definately not for the faint at heart. I highly reccomend this to anyone who like IPA’S that are big in taste and character. I felt like it was pretty well balanced for the ABV and the serious amount of hops.

This is the most amazing IPA I have ever had. Beautiful pour with a thick long lasting head. Aroma and tastes of citrus , pine , juicy hops. Full mouth feel. Damn near perfect. Yes it is $$ but for a once in a while treat you need to grab this up.

Huge orange citrus taste up front along with a ton of tropical fruit. I’ve had beers with tropical fruit hops before, but this is quite frankly insanely tropical and delicious. Melon and pineapple galore. Good bitterness level helps keep it from being overly sweet.

After 30+ IPA’s . . . no contest, the best I have had thus far. Can not believe its in a can! The visual in the glass is a orange sunrise and slightly cloudy. Beautimous! Hoppy? YES. Bitter? Kind of. But an extremely smooth mellow taste. Goes down too easy! Nose? Insane apricots and oranges and mild tangerine. Palate is amazingly smooth. Nice ABV that is VERY well hidden but there nonetheless. I would give it a perfect score but I’m pnly 45 and there so many IPA’s! Paid 12 for a 4pk of tall boys. Will be back for more tomorow!

Powerful piney, citrus smell. Sweet hoppy taste with a strong bitterness bite. Juicy and eye opening. Hadn’t heard anything about this beer before, especially compared to the highly touted Oskar Ten Fidy, so this caught me by surprise. Top notch.
