This beer is intended to be a sensory assault for hop lovers. At 8.0% ABV, four hop additions during the brew process, and a final wallop of excessive Columbus dry-hopping, this beer is meant to say one thing: MORE HOPS! Perfect for these cool winter nights, The Deviant is a returning favorite from the little brewery in Lyons, Colorado that started the Canned Revolution!

Pours hazy copper with a puffy beige head, clinging lacing. A nice bouquet of pine resin, grapefruit, apricot, and caramel. Medium body, zesty, spicy and dry. A hint of malt, mild citrus, then a medium-strong bitter finish, mellows while lingering. Deep, big, strong, yum.

16oz can. Pours clear dark copper color. Aroma of pine, grass, citrus. Has that clean mountain air smell. How apropos. Flavor is pine, caramel, citrus. Has a bitterness that is cut by an extreme subtle sweetness. Quite enjoyable.

Good sized off white head of fine bubbles with good carbonation. Nice caramel malt in the aroma with clover honey, roasted grains and some bitter orange peel. Color is a slightly hazy dark copper. Lots or roasted malts, tea leaves, caramel and somebitter floral hops. Light alcohol presence and warming. Finishes bitter and malty. A very well balanced IPA. Good brew!!

Can. Pours copper with thick white head. A lot of citrus in aroma and flavor. Grapefruit especially. Very smooth, flavorful IPA. Easy drinking. Really enjoyed this.

A- Pours an cloudy, deep orangey hue with an off white head that fades quickly. S- Deep malty notes, wheat, caramel, pine. T- Huge malt up front with a grapefruit like bitterness on the back end. Bitterness lingers on the tongue. M- Thick and resiny with medium carbonation. D- This is a huge beer that coats the tongue and stays there. Not an everyday drinker but I enjoyed it.

Goblet draft at Plan B in Simsbury, CT. Golden orange, a bit of haze, thin white head. Smell is a sweet malt with earthy hops and sweet, spicy citrus. Taste is on par with the aroma. Nice malt backbone to balance spicy and bitter hops. Has nice citrus flavor including mild grapefruit and pineapple. Really good IPA, should be listed as a double IPA.

Copper with a medium off white head. A strong aroma of grapefruit, citrus, and resinous hops. Medium/light body with hop bitterness balanced with a light malt body and some caramel notes. Very nice.

Can. Pours clear amber with a half inch head. Great c hop aroma with malt notes too. Malty taste with some raisin notes, plenty of citrus taste, and a bitter boozy kick in the finish. Full sticky body. Delicious.

Drank out of the can. Pretty impressive IPA. Really great piney hop flavor. Prefer to drink it a little warm. Really intensifies the hop flavor.
