I often forget what a great selection of brews are available at Augustine’s. They don’t get the super-rare stuff, but the menu is always well curated. I am not sure what prevents this 8 percent beer from falling into the IIPA category. Poured the color of honey. Smelled and tasted sweeter than what I expected. Mixture of hops was nondescript. This beer is a good candidate to bring on a backpacking trip. Draft - Augustine’s - Atlanta, GA

Draft poured a hazy orange-brownish hue with a thin white head and excellent lacing. Moderate hop aroma. Initial flavor is a light sweet with a moderate bitter finish of long duration. Taste is a citrus hop mostly grapefruit and some orange, has a strong malty backbone making for a well-balanced IPA. Medium bodied, drinks like an imperial.

Nicely done, as usual. Pours orange / yellow with a fluffy off white head. Aroma is sweet caramel malts and fruits. Sweet, medium bodied taste with a sweet sticky finish. Very sweet and heavy for an IPA, reminds me more of a barley wine.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 djroehler (150) - Minnesota, USA - MAY 1, 2013
Can. Pours a rosey amber with a two finger foamy white head that slowly sinks to lacing. Aroma is peach, lemon, orange peel, vanilla, bread. Taste is big pine and pear punch, slight peach pulls through, creamy cereal malt body. Grapefruit, pineapple, resinous hops too.
4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 Hartung32 (96) - Indiana, USA - APR 30, 2013
Great IPA; I've only had 2 of their beers, and they do hoppy beers well. This is comparable to some of Stone/Sierra Nevada/Dogfish/etc. best IPAs.

Can from Francis, thanks! Pours a clar light copper with white head and little lacing. Aroma of citrus, a bit of resinous hops, caramel. Taste malty, caramel, some citrussy and resinous hops. Medium body and medium carbonation. This one was a bit too malty and a bit too sweet for me. Not bad at all but i prefer my ipa’s a bit more dry.
